Have you checked for the entry in the DI instruments? The Amped instruments don't have this option.

Since this questions was asked in quite a few forums, I want to post them here, too:
The Electri6ity info panly still displays 1.0 after the update (a little oversight). You can check if the update was applied correctly by loading any DI instrument (not Amped!) and checking the "Strings" section of the settings page. If you'll find an entry "Body Simulation" there, you have 1.1 installed.Electri6ity shows 1.0 in the info panel after updating to 1.1 what am I doing wrong?
The DI instruments have the same output as the original guitars. Those instruments are meant to be used in combination with an amp simulation, just like an electric guitar needs to be plugged into a guitar amp to get a good level (and a typical electric guitar sound).Electri6ity DI instruments has a pretty low output compared to other Kontakt instruments - what's wrong?
Cheers,
Benjamin

Hi, I found a bug about Chucka Down(Up) Keyswitch.
They are reversed each.
When Chucka Dn Keyswitch is triggered, Fretboard shows Up strumming.
If you set Strum time very long, you notice that.
But Chucka Dn Sample is played...
I'm using Version 1.1
Sorry for my poor English.
Thanks

Hello, my name is Carlos.
I have one week using Electri6ity but until today i am not able to get the realism that has some tutorials or demos. What advice would you recommend me? Im working on midi tracks in cubase and i'm looking for an example to use as a base and observe the behavior of each keyswitch. Also i have a doubt, there expressionmaps templates for metal songs? Do you have any project with midi track so i can see how it works? Im very interested in the creation of guitar solos.
Thanks in advance and many greetings.

Hi Carlos,
keyswitches aren't the most important key to realism. In my opinion there are two things that are the most important to get realisitic sounding guitar tracks:
1) never use hard quantized midi - guitarist mostly don't play that tight. There are exceptions but in general guitarist have to deal with timing issues due to the time it takes to do the positioning of the right hand on the fretboard. It's not possible to hold e.g. a chord an play the next one in a different position on the fretboard exactly in time. Try to move notes around with hard quantization turned off, till you get the right feeling.
2) the virtual guitar amp. A good sounding guitar amp is VERY important. Frankly, the amped patches are OK in a lot of situations but to get really good and realstic results you'll need to use DI patches played through a high quality virtual guitar amp. If you are on PC there are a lot of great freeware plugins for this job. What are you using at moment?
Two other things: have you already installed the Electri6ity 1.1 update? And have you setup Electri6ity according to the realism guide?
Both can be downloaded here: http://www.vir2.com/support/downloads/c ... lectri6ity

Are there any plans to sell the sampled guitars separately?

Dynamitec
Musiclab provide midi files for strum and picking patterns with their RealStrat, RealLPC and RealGuitar products.
It strikes me that a Vir2 could provide a similar set of midi files for their Electri6ity and Accoustic Legends HD products to make both products much easier to get into and start using from the off.
Users can also add their own patterns to MusicLabs products too.
I know this creates a 'preset' mentality, but it would cost very little to provide the midi files in terms of cash and space on the installation DVD's and you would expand the happy end user count dramatically.
Otherwise, a lot of people will buy Vir2's guitar products, but then give up on them when they realise there is a lot of effort required to get realistic results. So future sales of new Vir2 products will be compromised.
The midi files could even be free downloads from the website, possibly even 'donated' by users of the products. A bit like Reaktor patches and Amplitube settings are avaialble on NI and IKM's sites respectively.
Just a thought.

Hello!
I'm very new with Acousti6ity and I'm trying to get to know the articulation features as good as possible. The sound of default virtual guitar is amazing, but I am a former guitarist (I can't play the guitar due to accident and damaged spinal cord) and I would like to have control over all possible articulation parameters.
My question is: how can I control such parameters as pick direction, fretboard position or string selection manually and dynamically during my song? In the setting tab I can set f.ex. prefer position to 0 and Acousti6ity plays around this position, but how can I tell it to play one note from riff in another position?
In the manual it is written that articulation setting can be controlled with CC and there are also numbers (f.ex. Fretboard position CC#34). What should I do with this information and how can I modify this parameters with notes I am writing?
I make my music only with my DAW application, no keyboard.
I hope I explain my problem clear and you will help me
Best regards,
Adam

Hey! I don't know what to say - it's my very stupid mistake, of course I was saying about Electri6ity, NOT Acousti6itybenjamind wrote:Acousti6ity...WTF?

Still, the hint that we'll see an acoustic version of Electri6ity isn't that far off. Maybe we'll see it this year. Maybe WIVI Guitar will come out, they've already done it for iOS (iPad, etc).
