Audio Damage's Rough Rider is more complex (ie has more knobs) than the TBK but aimed at the same kind of audio squashing - it's also free. I like the filter and decimator TBKs but found the one-knob approach on the compressor makes it tough to set up right.
They have changed the copy protection scheme (from serial file to C/R) and so made minor updates to the plugs so you may find that a new trial of the TBKs will work.

As a strange as it may seem, Rough Rider is actually less complex. It has only six paramters, TBK3 has nine parameters (excluding the setup page and the link to the Sonalksis website).Gamma-UT wrote:Audio Damage's Rough Rider is more complex (ie has more knobs)
I tend to agree though, I use Rough Rider a lot more than TBK3 these days.

Honestly, I don't care if there will be any improvements to it. I love it as it is. With that said, I agree - the TBK3 often have the same tendencies as a random generator.Hawking wrote:Would you still recommend buying it? As far as I know no updates have been made, and it looks like they won't come in the future.
