Coctor, my man! How long did it take you to show up!
But you're here at last! :D

Reading your post, we could be twins joined at the hip! 8)

Isn't there something primordial in that track ? It's like, when Log created the Synth, the Synth played that music. Mr.Duke just tuned in many years later, and channeled the spirit of the Synth. (no, I don't smoke, I tell ya).

You wouldn't have some more recommendations along the same style?
I've even joined this forum on my quest to find more stuff:

You are hooked for life now. Now hope of escaping. Next thing is, we'll see you at the Guitar Centre, jamming on Minimoog Classic edition, impersonating George Duke. At last, no more renditions of Van Halen's 'Jump' riff.
:D

Have I got it right ? :hihi:

What you need then, is for the Funk Mothership to land in your back garden and show you how it's done without using samples.
:band: <----- seriously, why isn't there a synth band emoticon. This is KVR, right? :D
I mean, the fellow with the red guitar, looks like he is plucking a violin. Even a CasioTone would be better.... :P

They would have to be pretty small to land in my back yard

Excellent! My head is exploding now... I love funk clavinet. 8)

I had a listen to most tracks on 'I wrote a simple song' CD where 'Outa Space' is taken from, but most of it is Motown (very good it is too). But this looks like the only serious Funk workout on that album. And that's the problem with these tracks, there's one here, one there, it's so difficult finding them, and once they are found, the rest of the CD is completely on a different tangent.

But yeah, another CD to buy, and my Amazon basket weights at £75 already! :-o
This is gonna be an expensive thread for me.
