Just got this today and am quite impressed. Really fun and easy to use, especially recording a sound and directly use it synthesized for vocoderlike stuff or crazy soundscapes. Definitely recommended.

Just wanted to bump this one up and show some love. I picked it up around a month ago, and haven't put it down since. The textures that can created are super sweet and easy. It is a ton of fun just to record the outside world and turn it into a lush soundscape or bring in a beat from another app and create rhythmic vocoded drums. Sure it's a one trick pony... but the one trick is a lot of fun.

This was available already 20 years ago, and is available today in several additive synths and also audio editors (together with lots of other fun things we can do with audio). But, of course, these are not done in the super-hype iPad, but just in common world computers.

Your very right about the power of computers but can you carry your big expensive DAW around and record and edit on it as easy as an iPad?

The thing about the iPad is it's portability and the immediacy of the interface and apps and it's a lot more fun.

If I wanted to record a basic piece of outside audio on my DAW I would have to use a handheld recorder (zoom H4), bounce the audio into my DAW and edit it, then load it into my software of choice. Or carry my laptop to the location, set up a USB audio interface and microphones and record, edit etc.

With the iPad it has a built in mic and it records direcect to the apps. I know it's not DAW quality but if it's fun and immediacy you want it's the best tool for the job.

BTW I'm not an Apple fan boy, I pefere PC's to Mac's, I've always had bad experiences with Mac's. The iPad 2 and iPhone 3Gs are the only Apple products I own.

And I've been using computers since 1980, but now enjoy the iPad more. So what is it to you? Cling to the past as tight as you can, some of us are more open to change. Go troll somewhere else........

Just to get back on topic. I bought this synth and I love it. I programmed a 4x4 house beat in isequence and pasted it in and I was playing an amazing kinda vocoded arpegiated synth line. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this app.

I'm not sure, I've heard rumours and stuff but you would be better checking out the developers forum Beep Street I think is the Dev for isequence.
