The iPad 2 will also be compatible with IK Multimedia's iRig and iRig Mic.

Where did you hear this? I can't recall seing that information anywhere. And isn't Thunderbolt based on PCI express architecture, which the iPad 2 doesn't have, which means that even if they make some kind of thunderbolt adapter, it wouldn't be possible to use the 10 GB/s bandwidth anyway?
