Hey, we make stuff for musicians, and we have more hardware exclusively for the iPad musician than probably anyone else. We're one of the top providers on the iPad, and I know and use our stuff primarily.DevonB wrote:I would have been impressed if he mentioned products other than one's from his own company. It's not like there's not 65k+ apps to choose from and these are the only one's out there.jensa wrote:Or the short version - Buy everything from Brian's employer IK MultimediaBrian @ IK Multimedia wrote:You'll want an iRig and an iRig Mic for recording straight to your iPad, and an iKlip for attaching your iPad to a stand. Yes, IK Multimedia has you fully covered on the iPad!
And of course, you'll want to get our apps - they're a prerequisite for mobile musicians! There's GrooveMaker for iPad, complete with 12 different Groove Packs you can add-on for a variety of genres and styles. And of course, our infamous AmpliTube 2 for iPad, star of Apple's iPad commercial, where you can add the entire Fender pack as an in-app purchase right inside the ADD GEAR menu. And finally, our newest addition, VocaLive, which is going to drop any day now in the iTunes App Store. There are full and FREE versions of all of these.![]()

When it comes to apps, IK products are just about all I need or use.
I also use MusicStudio, but I would not recommend it at this time until we know for sure what Apple's plans are for Garageband on iPad G1. If Garageband is made available for the iPad G1, at $5 it will make most music apps out today obsolete, with the exception of AmpliTube 2/Fender for authentic realtime mobile amping; realtime beatmaking & looping apps for live DJing; and high quality realtime audio FX processing beyond the scope of Garageband.
