automation object somehow continuously sends a fixed value to the host

it should be ok now, you can get the last version : v0.2-94
but you still can't record the automation directly by moving a plugin knob, the value is not sent back to the host. You can connect a midi CC to the automation object input and connect the automation output to the plugin parameter... well, it's not supposed to be practical yet

i have some questions since i wont be able to check it for some time ... im at work....and it's going to last.

can i change hosted vst parameters with midi CCs?

can i midi learn ccs and vst parameters ? (touch knob on the midi controller, touch knob on the vst plugin, mapping done?)

can i change hosted vsts presets with midi CCs ?

can i change the whole vstboard setup with midi CCs ?(ie to load another setup with different vst plugins)

if it cant do this stuff...it would be cool if it could in the future

you can already do that by connecting a midi cc (or a note, or anything) to the "editor" pin of the plugin

I am getting all sorts of clipping using the 32bit VST version to chain VST's, even though the final output to my DAW is well below zero. I know it's none of the plugins individually, so does VSTBoard not allow signals above zero internally, or is there something I can do to get around it?

i've tried it last night in several sequencers \ vst hosts.

about the VST plugin version:

Renoise - it doesnt load. renoise tells me that the vstboard dll is not a vst plugin. http://www.renoise.com/

Toby bear minihost - it doesnt load. minihost tells me that the vstboard dll is not a vst plugin. http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html

Energy XT v1.4 - it doesnt load . energy xt tells me that the vstboard dll is not a vst plugin.

Seib Host - It loads ok...eheheh

Ableton Live - It loads Ok.

I have also tried the standalone version of vst board:

32 bit - It runs ok

64 bit - It fails at startup with the message that it could not find the file msvcp100.dll . i've tried putting a msvcp100.dll file in system32 with no luck. maybe i had the wrong version of the file. im using windows 7 64 bit.


In ableton live i've noticed that the plugin version is only avaible as an FX. It would be nice to have it as a vst instrument also. its not of much use to me as an FX.
