Adam, sounds really fat. Really good. Good work! Waiting demo version!
Cant wait for the demo, Adam the reverb used in the demo clip, is that reverb from JP6K or is it an external one?

Heh, and I was afraid people wont like it because its already too bright! As mentioned, if its not enough just slap on a bit of EQ. EasyCyforce wrote:Sounds very smoothy and nice. Perhaps a little bit more brightness in the highend would be good.
Unfortunately the JP-8000/JP-8080 didnt have reverb so I decided to not include any crappy stock reverb in my synth at all, so I used an external reverb. I guess then its not "cheating". Reverb is only used in the last pad, and the a little bit on those other pads. Perhaps if bootsy can license his epicverb to me and make a minified version, with 3-4 controls I can include it in the synth and the reverb problem is solved. It's the most time, ony a question of personal taste
I personally like atm more bright sounds, perhaps i played too long the last weeks with the virus ti
But one fact is clear, the jp6k demo sounds really good, and also if surely many people will come and say blind "oh synthmaker, must sounds bad" etc - i think the jp6k will sounds better as many smaller c++ synths.
Specially through the point that the jp6k is build by a sounddesigner, and a sounddesigner knows better how it must sound as a normal coder

I'm not crazy over supersaws, but they have their uses, and I have to say it's sounding great.
Why not add a detune stretch parameter as well, for controlling the nonlinearity of the osc spread?
As for the big knob, I think if it was given more of the characteristics of the house style of the rest of the knobs, it would sit a lot better.

Well, the whole point of this synth was to emulate the supersaw, and the osc detune there is very special, so my goal was to capture that detune curve. Perhaps I can experiment with controlling the detune curve later on.Sendy wrote:Why not add a detune stretch parameter as well, for controlling the nonlinearity of the osc spread?
I have been working on this for a year now, beside the university, and I put a lot of hard work into this, so I would like to get some support. But since its "only" a supersaw synth, I have to find a good balance. So I am going for 30€Examigan wrote:How much is this cool synth going to cost?

$42 is a little pricey for a single-purpose synth. And there's a lot of supersaw synths out there.adamtrance wrote:Well, the whole point of this synth was to emulate the supersaw, and the osc detune there is very special, so my goal was to capture that detune curve. Most synths I'd compare it with are <$30. For instance Superwave Trance and Pro are each $28. I think $30 (22€) would be reasonable.
I dunno, maybe I'm just broke right now so I'm being pickier than usual. Your synth really does sound good according to the demo tracks you've posted, just eh. I can get two delamacha plugins for 42 bucks, and for $16 more I can get both group buys which will net me 9 plugins. None of which have a Supersaw that I'm aware of though. But I have half a dozen other synths for that. And a real JP-8000 (it is however in storage right now). I dunno man, we'll see.
