5651 was my fathers hospital room number. he has severe peripheral artery disease. they were able to save his leg this time. it still has minimal blood flow after surgery. at least he still has his leg.
i spent many long hours at the end of Feb. in his room. he was on pain meds and not talking alot. i just went to work on this tune. nothing but a old 1.2 ghz gateway laptop and a pair of ear buds. i had no idea i was getting a wendy carlos sound. not very familiar with wendy. more of a zappa fan. thinking along the lines of gspot tornado.
endless tweaking of filters/envelopes till i found the sound i was looking for. cant really say much more than that. was sleep deprived and just going for it.
in Ableton i came up with a chord progression and constrained the chord notes in the midi files and went from there. slowing down everything and listening and then speeding everything up at the end.
i think Mike777 was right. the arrangement could be alot better and should have spent more time with it. oh well. there is always another OSC.
my dad is more of a Yanni fan so he found this track a little odd.

The more I listened the harder it got to give points.

Ancient - nice themed piece good built up solid sounds, nice piece Ancient!
Archon1024 - great sounds/percussion , solo isn't going anywhere
(no hook?)
BJ - good use of delay, fragmented, lovely sounds, tells a story for sure.
CapDan - I recognized just one part (JMJarre OXYGENE 4) as part of this cover, rest was buried deep in the mix, compo is OK, mix is a bit flat.
Doc Jon - Aaaah.. with a bit of Love it. Sounds are very good and production also.
The Imposter - nice groove, Kraftwerkian, nice melodies/sounds.
Wrest - gurgling lead, nice use of octave down (again) melodies. Good return to beginning.
Happy Frog - Some nice sounds here, happy/eastern melodies just not enough variation.
Mike 777 - Nice compo Alaska(ish)/At the End of the Day (3:05) melancholic. Lovely!
Mrblitz000 - Great piece almost coherent.
Painpotato - Bang...we're in...no messing about straight to the point, GREAT sounds ! Toooo short.
Paradoxun - nice hats and percussion, good compo , catchy! AAaah... too short (for me).
5651 - Nice mix/compo, and sounds, orchestral, impressive. Well done ! (eventhough I don't like fadeouts )
3Beer - aah percussion, nice low bass/groove , good production, great variation.

I had my personal favorites which ended up in my playlist,
but listening closer to other entries it was really difficult to vote because there are so many nice and interesting pieces.
(I added my ersonal scoring at the end of each comment)
BjPorter: nice story telling, like the dolphin sounds and pads in general
don't like the beat/percussion at the beginning (~ 1.32 but I like the parts starting at 2.52 & at 5.00) , the kick doesn't fit IMO

I know I have to improve mixing & mastering and I'm always open for suggestions even looking for collaboration. My entry for the next OSC is already done and I will also release the project file so maybe someone can help me to improve it.

First I wanted to name the song Bloody Moose but then settled on Knights in White Satin,
which was a bit too obvious so it became what it is now.
My titles never have anything to do with the music, because I never get feelings/images when I listen to music other than sad/happy.

All my reviews don't give the works justice - they were all synthfabulous in their own way.

Thanks for the votes and the comments folks I'm no further on with my own reviews, and don't want to moan about what a week I've had ... other than to advise other live musos of a particular age range ... gigging may keep you young, but if the combination of gigging and carrying heavy objects from place to place adds as many years the following day as you thought you'd shed onstage, either get roadies, or get a nurse!! 
So I'll see what I can do now, but will def get there ahead of the close of votes.

Ok, I'm fairly, but not thoroughly satisfied with my reviews, I only managed 3 listens each, but some extra for those which either entertained me most, or threw me completely
I have all but avoided using references to production as the standard was generally very good to say the least. Seriously, some gobsmackingly good stuff here, and I regret being short of time to comment in sufficient quantity and extent that true justice would demand.
Bjporter ... Excellent sounds ... strong leading edges, but never harsh, real sense of exaggerated passage of time, events and moods going on here, and loads of space to move in and out of enhancing the power of the thicker stronger passages.
capdanX .... Lovely range of textures, and a melodies/counter-melodies which keep moving, and add to the rhythm of strong yet perhaps overly contained drums. Love the 'throaty' sounds.
Yeager ... Great dynamics and rich sounds ... I want that drumkit! - this is a track which alternates between a friendly invite and a kick in the teeth! .. and the use of stereo is as disorientating as the latter! I always do these reviews and all listens blind, but I know this is Yeager .... and has to be one of Yeagers best! .... for elaboration, see all my previous reviews of Yeager's tracks
SatYatunes .... This is so powerful! All sounds are strong but that snare cuts deep!! On reflection having listened a few times and enjoyed the snare, it is perhaps in a place which throws a false perspective on the tonality of the whole, but it gets my blood pumping all the same
Revorg1 - 5651 .... Oooh that whistle sound kinda makes me spontaneously pull my neck muscles tight, overall, the sounds are a wee bit aggressive on the treble range ... however, when I pull out around 4kHz and neighbouring frequencies a wee bit on the graphic, I hear something no less powerful, and can appreciate the dropping of instruments as well as the teaming up in the arrangement - some clever stuff going on, and def an experiential track - which I really like - but the experience minus that cut to the top band is a bit scary! ... But then again, maybe it is my ears.
Mike 777 ...Very atmospheric, and interesting textures, flowing, melancholic at times, and yet promising to uplift at any second. good quality sounds, lovely swelling dynamics and movement, but to my own taste, lacking a little in 'punctuation'. But as an experiential track, very pleasant indeed.
Uiiuiiu ..... Nice and unusual combination of good sounds. great technique in economising early with the sounds to create space to bombard later. Superb dynamics, and a very entertaining track.
Archon 1024 ... Threatening from the off, filling up with thick sounds which the polite snare wisely refuses to stand in the way of. Unusual, cool mix, and that rain is good ... and I should know - I live in Scotland! this really is a soundtrack to trudging home pissed in the rain with cold in the bones, but laughter in the heart. I think more could have been made of the melody, but that is a minor crit compared to the atmosphere this track deliberately and effectively conveys.
Gorgorgathgorgorgor - The imposter .....There's an appealing malevolent humour in this one. Love that soft lead which loses the plot for a spell great range of sounds, and lovely arrangement which invites attention and engagement rather than demands same. A pleasant sounding track, which makes me smile and want to listen again for fear I've missed something.
Doc Jon .... I like how this one kicks off kinda quietly but strongly, and promises to deliver ... and then does! Great composition which could find good company in any decade I have lived through ... everybody wants to ... yeah, it may belong there with a track beginning with the same three words, but somehow , more flexible. However, if that is what the writer wants to be compared with, then 'Flying Colours'. the sounds are obviously exactly what you were aiming for ... if not better with the wisdom/reconsideration/changing tastes that have arrived as those years have subsided.
Happy Frog .... Hate to reference established artists, but there are wee pieces of this that make me want to ask ... have you checked out Algerian superstar 'Khaled' ? ... and if not, and you like your track, then you need to! I love the sounds in here, and the understated, yet effective percussive elements. that nasal filtered lead sound is a winner ... and the economy of its use adds to it's effectiveness. This track is neither an 'eye opener', nor an 'ear shocker', just a lovely well constructed and enjoyable piece of music, Stimulating, yet mellow, and well rounded productionwise.
MrBlitz000 ..... If this aint Mr Blitz, I aint human .... I must make reference to The Residents ... but this time only to point out, much though I love The Residents, that it is like Mr Blitz has steadily left Planet Resident some 6 months ago on good terms, taking positive influence, but not full indoctrination, and is now building his own planet! A planet where time is reversible, and joy and fear are indistinguishable.
tattie ....This one is mine ... and I only mention it because I agree with a previous comment that the frequencies in the lead are in that 'ooyah' range which most of you have managed to oblige the listener by taming!
Revorg1 - 3 beer.... This is so well crafted. good sounds, and every one has a say in the outcome. So much to comment on, but to mention any aspect is like to remove a dirty mark on a roof which would result in small area cleaner than the rest, demanding that every inch of said ceiling would demand to be wiped clean! just an excellent track!
Painpotato .... Potentially awesome track .... a little too short to really wipe the floor with all entries and yet it may well do!! Excellent sounds, dynamics, and production .... dramatic progressions and great range in the mix, width, and depth .... a real attention grabber - and worthy of repeated listens to get the measure of the work that's been done here. I want to hear a 6 minute version ... even if it is a 3x loop of this 2 minute job!
Ancient ... This is lovely! Strong and dynamic, and comfortable to experience. Great economy of tonality and volume in order to facilitate but never overwhelm the appeallingly fluffy percussion, but to offer space to a crescendo followed by a gentle release passage.
ParadoxUn ..... Nice mix of good sounds and well organised composition, although the sounds are a little too well defined, and the arrangement too under developed to fully exploit the capacity of the featured synth.
Ride the Saw ....This is so rich, I find it hard to pick out the merits of the individual sounds .... no problem though, there are some nice tricks here and good dynamics in spite of the 'pastry case ' of the constant sounds. The track certainly finds space to grow into at times it seems there is none. Yeah, it is massive! well done .... not my favourite genre, but def a track that persuades my head to be a chum and to tell my ears that they know nothing
Gorgorgathgorgorgor - Wrest .... The opening tonal percussive sounds are fkn immense! This is organic music for lovemaking! .... I want a 45 minute version ... get cracking!! I have all but avoided using references to production as the standard was generally very good to say the least. Seriously, some gobsmackingly good stuff here, and I regret being short of time to comment in sufficient quantity and extent that true justice would demand.
Bjporter ... Excellent sounds ... strong leading edges, but never harsh, real sense of exaggerated passage of time, events and moods going on here, and loads of space to move in and out of enhancing the power of the thicker stronger passages.
capdanX .... Lovely range of textures, and a melodies/counter-melodies which keep moving, and add to the rhythm of strong yet perhaps overly contained drums. Love the 'throaty' sounds.
Yeager ... Great dynamics and rich sounds ... I want that drumkit! - this is a track which alternates between a friendly invite and a kick in the teeth! .. and the use of stereo is as disorientating as the latter! I always do these reviews and all listens blind, but I know this is Yeager .... and has to be one of Yeagers best! .... for elaboration, see all my previous reviews of Yeager's tracks
SatYatunes .... This is so powerful! All sounds are strong but that snare cuts deep!! On reflection having listened a few times and enjoyed the snare, it is perhaps in a place which throws a false perspective on the tonality of the whole, but it gets my blood pumping all the same
Revorg1 - 5651 .... Oooh that whistle sound kinda makes me spontaneously pull my neck muscles tight, overall, the sounds are a wee bit aggressive on the treble range ... however, when I pull out around 4kHz and neighbouring frequencies a wee bit on the graphic, I hear something no less powerful, and can appreciate the dropping of instruments as well as the teaming up in the arrangement - some clever stuff going on, and def an experiential track - which I really like - but the experience minus that cut to the top band is a bit scary! ... But then again, maybe it is my ears.
Mike 777 ...Very atmospheric, and interesting textures, flowing, melancholic at times, and yet promising to uplift at any second. good quality sounds, lovely swelling dynamics and movement, but to my own taste, lacking a little in 'punctuation'. But as an experiential track, very pleasant indeed.
Uiiuiiu ..... Nice and unusual combination of good sounds. great technique in economising early with the sounds to create space to bombard later. Superb dynamics, and a very entertaining track.
Archon 1024 ... Threatening from the off, filling up with thick sounds which the polite snare wisely refuses to stand in the way of. Unusual, cool mix, and that rain is good ... and I should know - I live in Scotland! this really is a soundtrack to trudging home pissed in the rain with cold in the bones, but laughter in the heart. I think more could have been made of the melody, but that is a minor crit compared to the atmosphere this track deliberately and effectively conveys.
Gorgorgathgorgorgor - The imposter .....There's an appealing malevolent humour in this one. Love that soft lead which loses the plot for a spell
great range of sounds, and lovely arrangement which invites attention and engagement rather than demands same. A pleasant sounding track, which makes me smile and want to listen again for fear I've missed something.Doc Jon .... I like how this one kicks off kinda quietly but strongly, and promises to deliver ... and then does! Great composition which could find good company in any decade I have lived through ... everybody wants to ... yeah, it may belong there with a track beginning with the same three words, but somehow , more flexible. However, if that is what the writer wants to be compared with, then 'Flying Colours'. the sounds are obviously exactly what you were aiming for ... if not better with the wisdom/reconsideration/changing tastes that have arrived as those years have subsided.
Happy Frog .... Hate to reference established artists, but there are wee pieces of this that make me want to ask ... have you checked out Algerian superstar 'Khaled' ? ... and if not, and you like your track, then you need to! I love the sounds in here, and the understated, yet effective percussive elements. that nasal filtered lead sound is a winner ... and the economy of its use adds to it's effectiveness. This track is neither an 'eye opener', nor an 'ear shocker', just a lovely well constructed and enjoyable piece of music, Stimulating, yet mellow, and well rounded productionwise.

I must make reference to The Residents ... but this time only to point out, much though I love The Residents, that it is like Mr Blitz has steadily left Planet Resident some 6 months ago on good terms, taking positive influence, but not full indoctrination, and is now building his own planet! A planet where time is reversible, and joy and fear are indistinguishable.tattie ....This one is mine ... and I only mention it because I agree with a previous comment that the frequencies in the lead are in that 'ooyah' range which most of you have managed to oblige the listener by taming!
Revorg1 - 3 beer.... This is so well crafted. good sounds, and every one has a say in the outcome. So much to comment on, but to mention any aspect is like to remove a dirty mark on a roof which would result in small area cleaner than the rest, demanding that every inch of said ceiling would demand to be wiped clean! just an excellent track!
Painpotato .... Potentially awesome track .... a little too short to really wipe the floor with all entries and yet it may well do!! Excellent sounds, dynamics, and production .... dramatic progressions and great range in the mix, width, and depth .... a real attention grabber - and worthy of repeated listens to get the measure of the work that's been done here. I want to hear a 6 minute version ... even if it is a 3x loop of this 2 minute job!
Ancient ... This is lovely! Strong and dynamic, and comfortable to experience. Great economy of tonality and volume in order to facilitate but never overwhelm the appeallingly fluffy percussion, but to offer space to a crescendo followed by a gentle release passage.
ParadoxUn ..... Nice mix of good sounds and well organised composition, although the sounds are a little too well defined, and the arrangement too under developed to fully exploit the capacity of the featured synth.
Ride the Saw ....This is so rich, I find it hard to pick out the merits of the individual sounds .... no problem though, there are some nice tricks here and good dynamics in spite of the 'pastry case ' of the constant sounds. The track certainly finds space to grow into at times it seems there is none. Yeah, it is massive! well done .... not my favourite genre, but def a track that persuades my head to be a chum and to tell my ears that they know nothing
Gorgorgathgorgorgor - Wrest .... The opening tonal percussive sounds are fkn immense! This is organic music for lovemaking!
