I'm pretty sure it'll work, though the #2 and #4 positions might possibly be backwards.
Switching on my guitar works fine for me, slightly modded the suggested wiring so both push-pulls down means P-90 (my main tone here), both up means Rails and so on.
Yes, this is how my new Ibanez is set up. I thought you might like the Megaswitch P since you said you only use the splits in the 3-way middle position, which is exactly all that it gives you.

@ 1620 - afaik (and hope) you didn't lose anything in the deal - a lot of my most valuable learning experience comes from unluckier deals like that, I wouldn't want to miss them.
The long story short is that it just had too many shortcomings. I had posted a thread asking if I was too picky about a defect and that ended up being just one of many issues. And no, I didn't lose anything :phew: MF gave me terrific customer service (something that hasn't always been the case ;) )

Turns out we both are right - unfortunately.
You were right about the switching options - would make for a cool "best of" for live use. :tu:
Apparently I was correct about this :
For the 'P' Model Megaswitch to work properly, the pickups must be correctly installed. The outside coils of the pickups must have opposite magnetic polarity. To check this, place one pickup over the other. If the pickups repel each other, the coils have the same polarity. The pickups will attract each other if their polarities are opposite.

A magnet swap doesn't sound like my idea of fun on a P-Rail. :-o
Dunno, never tried.
This guitar is mostly used for recording and jams anyway, so switching speed is no big concern.
One of my best sounding planks though ...
A one-off US Schecter Custom Shop, covergirl on one of their 90s catalogs.
Bought it straight from the booth back then.

Edit: Turns out it's even trickier and some of the StewMac info is questionable.
No magnet swap, but not what's promised either.

I also don't like the idea of the semi-connected coils in pos. 2,3,4

BWAHAHAHA!! Yeah, that took some getting used to!! :hihi:

I've been wanting to check out one of these new Vox's for a while. Everything I've read about this guitar sounded very favorable and I've always been a huge fan of nearly all things Vox. The trans teaburst finish over ash is simply stunning...the pictures don't begin to do it justice! The neck is slim and fast..a bit like an SG. The new co-axe pickups are AMAZING!! They're sort of like P-90's combined with humbucker blades. All three elements of each pup can be separately tapped and each pup has it's own three-way switch to do so....get the picture? Three-way pickup selector plus two three-way coil splitter switches adds up nearly unlimited tonal possibilities. All that being said.....I'm not sure that I'm going to keep her. While she is undoubtedly one of the finest guitars I've ever had, I'm just not sure that's she's the "one".

Thanks for cluing me in to all this! From what I've found from further digging, all the positions are fine except for position 3, which seems to have very little to do with what's promised. Fortunately, all this digging brought me to the Megaswitch M and that seems perfect for both you and I:

Sweet! I played an older version of the Les Paul-shaped model at the NAMM show and it was a really excellent guitar.

I think I would rather buy a new pickup than a new guitar, because it seems like a much better idea to have one guitar (yes, I have others) I play and enjoy the sound of than two I am not crazy about the sound of, thus less likely to play.

If you have a four conductor wire humbuckers then this might be of intrest to you:
