I'm glad I saw this before I had breakfast, or I would have thrown up all over my keyboard.
Had to stop it after two minutes. THE HORROR!
Now I'm not hungry any more, though.

you missed the best part where she reminds us of the days of the week! you can't truly be "in" on all these jokes without watching the entire video.woolyloach wrote:I'm glad I saw this before I had breakfast, or I would have thrown up all over my keyboard.![]()

At least this video isn't taking itself too seriously like 99 percent of all music videos.
Most of you making fun of this video are dipping way below your demographic. Perhaps if some 13 year olds were making fun of this it would be appropriate.

A guy walks into a laundry run by cats. "Excuse me", he said to the cat in charge, "Can you get milk stains out?" "Sure," replied the cat. "We'll have that stain licked in a minute!"

and then Monday is payday....
and whining about "Cyberbullying" indeed.

I wouldn't really say overly rich.. it cost them 2 grand to make the song and video which was written (including the lyrics) by Ark Music Factory and not her.. blame them instead. Her natural singing voice is actually pretty good.. much better that most of us here ripping her apart. Which is a shame.. because she does have some talent and with the right help could become quite skilled.debra1rlo wrote:nope. serious... 1 marginally talented girl + 2 overly rich parents = infinite hours of fun for you & mefilkertom wrote:Please, please tell me this is satire.

Horrible music is horrible music.
The fact that this is targeted at the young and impressionable just makes it that much more evil.
And I assure you that there are are many people who have attained their majority who like this song. I realize that this is almost too depressing to contemplate, but it's true.

if it was only $2K, than i stand corrected on the overly rich parents, i had heard it was 5 figures.VitaminD wrote:I wouldn't really say overly rich.. it cost them 2 grand to make the song and video which was written (including the lyrics) by Ark Music Factory and not her.. blame them instead. but yeah, marginally talented imo. i think a better voice wouldn't have needed autotune so severely and shouldn't have sounded so nasally if her real voice was so great. not saying i can sing better, but i know i've thrown away far better lyrics...
hell I could make it fast and i could describe my process of making breakfast, make it flow and make it rhyme with a dope fresh beat and right on time with lots of soul cuz that's how i roll

She had no control over the song... no control over the lyrics.. no control over how it was written or produced.. the only thing she did was showed up to sing and record the video ...Ark Music Factory did the rest and thus is responsible for the crapness that are the lyrics and autotuned vocals..debra1rlo wrote:if it was only $2K, than i stand corrected on the overly rich parents, i had heard it was 5 figures.VitaminD wrote:I wouldn't really say overly rich.. it cost them 2 grand to make the song and video which was written (including the lyrics) by Ark Music Factory and not her.. blame them instead. Have you heard her voice? She sung (naturally -- that is, without autotune) on a morning talk show.. part of the US National Anthem.. for 13 she has a nice singing voice. She didn't need the heavy auto-tune.. Ark apparently does that on most if not all of their songs. It is the trend at the moment..

I actually got back to this video, and watched it from beginning to the end. I completely fail to see why is it causing so much buzz. It's not worse than stuff you get when put on a random radio station, it's not even any different.

sorry, but i have yet to see a comment on any site that was bullying. doesn't mean there wasn't but, everything i've read makes it seem like no one can take criticism gracefully.VitaminD wrote:She had no control over the song... no control over the lyrics.. no control over how it was written or produced.. the only thing she did was showed up to sing and record the video ...Ark Music Factory did the rest and thus is responsible for the crapness that are the lyrics and autotuned vocals..debra1rlo wrote:if it was only $2K, than i stand corrected on the overly rich parents, i had heard it was 5 figures.VitaminD wrote:I wouldn't really say overly rich.. it cost them 2 grand to make the song and video which was written (including the lyrics) by Ark Music Factory and not her.. blame them instead. and yeah, talent is a word that's really used a little too freely these days. to me, talent is being able to sing AND play an instrument AND write material suitable for your voice/style. and it's plain DUMB to spend $2K to sing a crap song autotuned to death if you are trying to showcase your natural singing voice. she had a choice not to pay $2K to make the song and no one had to put it out there. that's the price one must pay for being a performer. and the song may have been crap, but so was her phrasing which can't exactly be autotuned don't ya know.
She may be a better singer than shown, but she has no one to blame but herself for using the wrong material to try and showcase her talent. imo.
