this is begging... BEGGING for AWESOME REVERB TREATMENT :x . You ValhallaRoom owners better treat it well. :bang:

Here's your competition, ValhallaShimmer x4 instances:
http://www.elanhickler.com/misc/vocodex ... merWet.mp3 (I don't like how I have to use lots of modulation to get rid of the metallic tail.)

"So what is lucid dreaming? Lucid dreaming means that you have a dream and you become aware within your dream, that you're dreaming. So, you actually wake up within your dream; you become conscious within your dream. The word 'lucid' simply means 'mentally clear' and you're able to think clearly and logically."

And (if I may speak for everyone) we appreciate that your plugins are high quality and affordable. I'm sure I'll still be buying Vroom (I love that!) as soon as I can. Cheers!

Architeuthis, do you want the speech to remain comprehensible or don't care if it isn't like in the mp3 sample?

I don't have ValhallaRoom, but I'll just post this, which I suppose is pretty much what you're after (and @ everyone yes it's not even a plugin, but I use it as a benchmark).

OK - got any parameter listings for Rumour? Also, what algorithm are you using?

(looks like I need to go up against Chris Moore's reverb algorithms for this comparison - deep breath, no pressure...)

Start with "RealSmoothPlate", 100%, 14 seconds, hf damping 14080Hz, diffextent 7x, diff cross -32%, amount/length/size: 1.00x, lowpass 13290Hz, lf split 262Hz, lf time 0.77x, lfo rate 0.11Hz, lfo depth 0.9ct, room type large.

I bought it without even demoing it, lolzz! Happy ValhallaShimmer owner here, and now ValhallaRoom too. Just tried it on some juicy handclaps on a beat I was making, damn this thing sounds goooood! Very very good!
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

I am unfortunately, in fact, quite stubborn in general. :D
but it seems everyone at slutz uses reverb on sends only. We kvrians like to have the option
No, some of the slutz have brought up the mix lock as well. *mumble grumble*
If it's not working with logic's integrated preset browser that could be a bug.. and a pain to navigate.. is there no preset next/previous arrows on room?
The Logic preset browser won't work with the presets, as the presets aren't stored in .aupreset format. I created my own format, .vpreset, for cross-platform functionality. The same preset can be used in Audio Units, RTAS, and VST.

Anyway, I'll look into the mix lock and preset arrows. The critical thing would be to integrate these in the GUI only, such that the underlying parameters don't change. Any change to the underlying parameters would break existing projects.

A quick interruption here: If Thomas Hansen is reading this, can you please send me a PM? Or contact me via the website. Thanks.

Here's a quick take on that sound:

100% wet

50% wet

And the preset is as follows (ValhallaRoom users can copy this code, and paste it into VRoom via that "Paste from Clipboard" setting in the preset menu):

Code: Select all

<ValhallaRoom pluginVersion="1.0.1" presetName="Vocal-HugeDarkRoom" mix="0.5" predelay="0.0373999998" decay="0.139139146" HighCut="0.820134223" earlyLateMix="1" lateSize="0.970000029" lateCross="1" lateModRate="0.0383838378" lateModDepth="1" RTBassMultiply="0.180000007" RTXover="0.0171717163" RTHighMultiply="0" RTHighXover="0.871140957" earlySize="0.137837842" earlyCross="0.319999993" earlyModRate="0.0383838378" earlyModDepth="0.560000002" earlySend="1" diffusion="1" type="0.333333343"/>
Not exactly subtle stuff, but subtle isn't always what you need.

Post

please de-monoize the 100% wet example! you're always doin that, wat up wid dat? :P

No it's not. What I need is VRoom: Win Edition. Stubbornly not accepting any substitutes! :hihi:
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Weird. That's how things got exported from Logic. I'll figure out what's going on.
