Installed okay for me (Win 7 64) but when I went to use it in Live 8 I got a weird error: "This VST is not compatible with Live". Running Ableton as Admin solved this.

I bought the VST since it's such a good deal. I really like the strings too. The thing that irks me about the HALion Symphonic Soundset is that the instruments are quiet, and when set to velocity to increase volume, they all sound quite fake and not good at all- especially the violins.

Many of the Halion symphonic orchestra patches are designed to use the mod wheel for volume. Have you tried that?

For some reason, changing the mod wheel doesn't seem to do a thing. Even in VST expression in the key editor, changing the modulation in individual notes doesn't do anything either. It's weird. Maybe I'm doing it incorrectly. I know it's off topic, but would you be able to explain how to fix this? The song I'm currently writing needs these instruments to be louder.

Many of the HSO patches are designed to be super queit with the mod wheel in its normal position and as you push the mod wheel up, the volume goes up to full. There's also a volume knob for each of the 16 parts in the HSO UI itself. I've never had problems with the patch volumes, they're as loud as anything else, as far as I recall.

Here is an early alpha of my song, using the HSO instruments:
As you can see, they are quite quiet, but I haven't edited the modwheel values. I will try to do so when I can.

So, after Dimension LE, I bought Miroslav CE too.
Its working fine, great sounds, I recommend it.
I have one doubt, there is a message saying I used 1 of 5 activation codes for Miroslav, so if I use all 5 activation codes, what happens?
I'm curious...

No positive, but willing to bet contacting them for verification will reset that, if needed.PlasticSoul wrote: I have one doubt, there is a message saying I used 1 of 5 activation codes for Miroslav, so if I use all 5 activation codes, what happens?

Yes, that limit is typical of almost all companies that use C/R copy protection and it's implemented to prevent abuse in the form of a single user activating thousands of copies. When you run out of authorizations you only have to contact them to get your limit reseted.mcnoone wrote:No positive, but willing to bet contacting them for verification will reset that, if needed.PlasticSoul wrote: I have one doubt, there is a message saying I used 1 of 5 activation codes for Miroslav, so if I use all 5 activation codes, what happens?
Please notice that the "sounds" (samples) download for your instrument is a different thing. The download is time limited. If you want to download the samples again after that time has expired, IK may ask you for an additional payment. So it's wise to make a backup or two of what you have downloaded. This is always wise, anyway.

Well, he's right though - they do require a payment in the form of purchasing download credit if you want to redownload after the link expires.kcisANDderit wrote:why are you saying something you're not even sure about?standalone wrote:If you want to download the samples again after that time has expired, IK may ask you for an additional payment.
