Hi, glad it's a bit better. :)

The auxhost crash, is it reproducible, or it happens randomly? Does it happen with the GUI open or closed?

Any difference if you enable the "thread safety measures" option?

Just To clarify - in 1.27 I had 2 issues.

1- When the large projects in question were loading I would get a "AUXHOST stopped working" message prior to Cubase completing the load of all VSTs. I would need to kill the Cubase project and restart. This happened about 30% of the time.

2- when the projects in question did load succesfuly - I would get the "A serious error..." in Cubase when openening the bridged VST 100% of the time.

The beta seems to have fixed #2. #1 still continues.

I will run more tests and try your suggestion and get back to you with more data...

While testing the beta I noticed that JBridger seems not to be creating the .Jbridge files. I chose "verify each file", X64 bit host, chose both directories. It said it created 1 files but when I search my entire system I can not find them.

Hi, those files are created when the bridged plugin is loaded only.

But it creates a *.dll and a *.txt file for each plugin, correct?

You are correct - it did create the .dll & .txt files. When I deleted the old JBRIDGE files and ran Cubase - they were created again.

There seems to be a new switch "LEGACY_INTEGRATED_MODE". This was not added to my existing JBRIDGE files when I used the old JBRIDGE files. I am not sure if that was by design...

That new option is enabled by default for backward compatibility reasons, some hosts/plugin combinations don't seem to like the new implementation for the integrated GUI mode ( which is intended to provide better handling of automation events ).

The testing is going really well. I have set up a project in Cubase that includes all of my x64 plugins (Trillian, Omnisphere, Ivory, SD2, Kontakt4, GPO4,GR4) and most of my 32bit plugins (Mtron, VSM, CS-80, Arp2600, Minimoog-V, Modular Moog, Jupiter V, Alchemy, RealGuitar, Real LPC). Over 3.5 gb in size. Multiple times loading the project and opening all of the individual GUIs multiple times - not one hang. Awesome! I will keep testing and let you know if anything comes up...

Now my last issue - Jamstix3. I have chased down any project hangs down to this one VST. When loading a saved project it could load fine many times and then hang during the next project load giving an error "AudioMaster 6, Dispatch Error 51". Sometimes it gives a "Dispatch Error 58". Sometimes it loads fine but gives a white GUI screen. I've tried the Safety thread setting (it did not like this), seperate GUI - did not help (sometimes the options window was blank), as well as many other settings. When it does load and the GUI opens - it runs fine without a glitch.

Any ideas on this one?

Hello.

Thanks for the info, glad to know that build is working well for the most part of your plugins. :)

As for Jamstix3, try the "opcode 19(...)" option, let me know what happens. ;)

Update - set Opcode 19 for Jamstix3. Things are very stable now. I get an occasional "AUXHOST has stopped" when I close the project. This happens once every 15-20 times of opening and closing the project.

This could be an instability within Jamstix3. Any thoughts on this from your side? This is the only 32bit VST giving me an issue.

Hi.

Hum, I am not aware of any critical issue with Jamstix. Could you check something? If you exit your host completely, besides closing the project, does the crash still happen?

Sorry - I was not clear. My test that I repeat over and over is:

1) start Cubase x64
2) Load the test project
3) Open and close the various GUIs and test their screen funtionalities
4) play the project for a short bit
5) exit Cubase by pressing the "X" to close the project and shut down Cubase

It was after step 5 that I would receive the "AUXHOST has stopped working" error.

Hi - that version appears to be stable. I sent the detailed test results to your email.

Hi all:

I'm hoping this is the thread to report problems being encounterd when using jBridge.

I bought it yesterday because I have a few 32bit virtual instruments (DR-008 and Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition, for example) that I would like to use in SONAR X1b x64. When using it with SONAR X1b x64 and Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition, I get hang ups when I browse through the sounds to audition them.

The first time I experienced the hang up, it was a box that poped up and said jBridge on the top with Opcode and some number. I think it was Opcode 19, but I'm not sure if that number is correct. Now, when I browse the sounds to audition them, after I try a few, when I ckick on another to try it, SONAR just hangs and I have to restart the computer to get the SONARPDR.exe to be killed from the running processes in task manager, but that box which had Opcode and some number never pops up again.

I hope the author of jBridge can see this and help me? :)
