Thanks, Sleek Month. I really appreciate it.
You were one of the oggies, weren't you?

My apologies. Sincerely.

I'm happy with the winmediaplayer, and I really don't want to install other players, because it'll get like on my old computer where several players were vying for file associations and you were never sure what bizarre program was going to open up to play a given file :?

...I did check at the WMP site to see if there was a plug-in or codec to enable ogg files, but I didn't find one...
happy with WMP? :-o

You're on a PC right? ...soooo why dont you just use winamp? It plays WMA, ASF, MP3, OGG, MOD songs, Midi, CD-audio, etc.. all of them. and its not made by billy gates..

besides you can specifically control which file types you want it to use (options>preference>file types).. its a smaller download than one of the music cafe' songs. :P

plus the Asio output with up to 192khz oversampling is loverly ..especially when used in conjuction with a few DirectX FX plugins.

Free - your - computer

I should get paid for this commercial. :D

Goes nowhere, really. Well... ABA, but it just ends where it started: peaceful, tension, peaceful. But is it the destination or the journey itself that is most important? Can I get an oooohhhhmmmmmmmmm? (sorry, no zen koan meditation emoticon!)

This was played in real time in one pass, thanks again to the evil MFX experiments that I do.

Danke for props,

It was tough. The contest closed while I was on business travel, and the voting will close a mere half day after I got back home.

Btw, my travel took me to San Francisco (such hardship!) where a friend took me to see and hear the band Shotgun Wedding Hiphop Symphony. Bloody amazing. Clarinet, flute, sax, trombone; 2 violins, viola, cello; drum, upright bass, a DJ, and a rapper. Hot Damn they were good.

IMHO Winamp 3 & 5 is pure crap. Resource hogs, useless features, tons of extra crap no one cares about... :) Winamp 2.x is the best one IMHO. Why fix it if it aint broke?

Download Winamp 2.8!

winamp 5 is winamp 2.x ! (with winamp3 skin/scripting support)

winamp 3 was a TOTALLY different platform (that bombed)

have you actually tried 5? all the screens are just like 2 and all my winamp 2 plugins work in 5. Its actually quite nice. :)

Dont believe me? here it is straight from the llama's mouth :D The truth.

but anywho.. winamp 2 also supports ogg so either/or :D
