I'm sorry about the confusion, but I'm not having any problems with DH_TEXTIO.SEM. I just shared my observation that Windows x64 doesn't necessarily stores DH_TEXTIO.SEM in the main VST folder.

There's a switch at each envelope destination letting you pick which envelope to use, and whether it's normal or inverted.

Hi Thorau,

could you, please, indicate which host you are using and whether you use 32 or 64 bit? There seem to be some issues with reaper, which unfortunately I cannot reproduce and hence can't find the problem.

However, it seems that running the plugin in 'designated mode' prevents the crash. If not, please give me as much information as you can gather.

It's crashing time again for a change. V. 0.991 behaves the same as 0.99 (freezes on load, hogs 4gb memory & then after 10secs c++ error).
It's a real bummer that I can't help more precisely how to reproduce it. I'm totally confused how this can be possible that some day it works and other day it doesn't. As if there were some strange relation with sunspots or something.. :/

thanks for letting me know. Did you try the trick which worked for Tale, namely setting the plugin mode to designated or separate in reaper?

I hope that this might solve the problem. Please let me know whether it makes any difference.

Yes, running it separate or dedicated process worked instantly.
I will test it more later, but for now this could be a workaround.

Any chance you could build patch loading in to the instrument itself ? I am using it in SM Pro audio's VFX app and loading fxb or even changing presets is not possible . Hell they might even be interested in doing a VFX version with you they have done so with other free & commercial ware synths .

it seems ther is no MAC version...
(long time ago, after my magnus (blower), and after my CZ5000, I was a happy owner of a well JX8P esq1, Prophet VS, emu emax, and my K2500 I preciously maintained and very helpful to me with Cubase 5 + Komplete6, etc. ...)

That's why I run this and SQ8L( esq-1/sq80 ) in SM'pro audio's VFX app with this and X11 installed you can run windows plugins on OSX ( intel only )

Before, i usually use Windows XP PRO, and I'm on a MacPro 8 core (2008), but have managed to install Windows XP Pro on my computer (without boot camp), so I am, only few months ago and after being back to my first love:Music, passed definitively to Mac OS X Leopard... I do not know all the tricks yet

Interesting. Can you elaborate a little about that? Is the application free os paid? Does it run just on Intel machines? For what you say, it need X11, right? Is it compatible with Snow Leopard too?

I put a drop down menu into the 'settings' panel. It will be in the new version.

I also nearly finished the sysex import: Those who still have some sysex patch files from the old JX8P can directly load them into the pg8x. The plugin will accept sysex sent via midi, but I will also put in a file selection menu to load the *.syx files directly.

I found a couple of free JX8P patches in the internet, and will make a fxb bank.
