Not ideal monitoring situation to be sure. Maybe just mix like normal and run it through Variety of Sound's Rescue before printing? Yeah, I should use a stereo enhancer, even then, I would be hearing what this does in that less than ideal situation. At the end of the day, it is all about time. I am well able to try out the mix on the laptop/ghettoblaster, or get the tonalities and levels right on the 'big' speakers, and adjust the stereo spread via headphones and compare with the 'small' speakers which are placed right.
When I have done any recording to be released either as a demo, or a commercial release, I make the time to set the speakers differently, and take a mix/module to the laptop/Tascam 2488, in combination with required hardware, positioned more favourably for listening. This also involves clearing the family out of the living room for long periods ... and can also involve giving them money to go spend and stay out of my way for that required period
So it is all possible, but ... with OSC, I tend to give more importance to the sounds, composition and the mix than the stereo spread ... and even the production quality - other than the individual sounds - is less important than demonstrating the range/strengths/weaknesses/character of a single synth

Yea completely agree, there is always some aspect one doesn't have time for during OSCs and stereo spread is not really that prioritized.
