I am on a imac 10.6.7 latest Ableton, everything seems to work, not that I understand it all. Sussed out how to change patterns as well, just draw in different notes in the midi clip. I have used it with Sampler and a couple of vst synths. What's the problem exactly?
Studio One, OS X 10.0, M-Audio Oxygen 25 keyboard.

Hi,
New version released. Menus should work now.
If they don't tell me please notify me and include information about your OS and DAW versions.
There is also popupmenufix version which you can use if you have problems with menus. This version uses combobox menus.
There is also some other stuff there
Tell me how the new versions work.

Hi Arde2, have you tested this with Cubase per chance ? And if so, could you explain how to route it correctly, if thats ok
I really like it, and would love to use it in Cubase, but only managed to get it going in Ableton.

Arto, I downloaded both files and the regular one still has the date of the 25th @ 2:13pm. Is that the most up-to-date version?
The popupfix version does have the drop down boxes as indicated.

Hi Aarto,
Many thanks for your hard and inspired work!
The new 1.1 'regular' version is exactly the same popup menu-wise as the previous one in Mac 10.5.8/Live 7/DSPQ 3.5 - no popups.
But the 'popupfix' version works fine as an alternative! Haven't had time to dig into it yet, just made a quick function test in Live. The GUI is entirely workable now.
Thanks again!
BTW, I just donated as a token of appreciation.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I'm probably an idiot, but how does one actually "trigger" Kirnu?
I've set things up as they should be (I believe; according to the first video on www.artovaarala.com/media.html) but it doesn't work. (I'm using Kirnu 1.1 in Ableton Live 8.2.2 on OSX 10.6.6)
Does Kirnu need incoming midi data? I would have thought that Kirnu would generate it's own midi stream. Or is it more of a modulator?

Yes, it needs your realtime(preferably) MIDI input.
