Well, maybe I got the wrong end of the stick there. I'm sure there was some mention of a u-he free synth connected to the Patchbender site, whether or not that is Diva is another matter...3ee wrote:hakey wrote:...Diva will be the free synth...![]()

That was about TyrellN6 probably... anyway, DIVA seems too have much work involved to be a free synth.hakey wrote:I'm sure there was some mention of a u-he free synth...
As I remember reading... DIVA will be somewhat like Arturia's Origin where you can select modeled oscs, filters, egs and stuff and make your VA flavor mix. Main focus will be on the Roland ol'school Junos and feedback given on Tyrell will help Urs to shape the DIVA project.
Urs, please add a bit or subtract on this post if you have the time!

The patchbender synth is a whole different story. That one is supposed to become more or less a hands-on tutorial in itself.
TyrellN6 is to DIVA what Zebralette is to Zebra what ACE is to Berlin Modular and what Podolski ist to FilterscapeVA

Yeah... I have a list of about 15 exciting things that'll happen this year. I just don't dare to post it, because it usually takes a year longer or two.hakey wrote:Oh right, I see. What we know for sure though is that TyrellN6 will be released next week. And also, Zebra is nominated for the MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Award), which I have a *very* good feeling about

Anyone in for a site design? - It hasn't been launched yet but it desperately needs a make over... anyone with skills in graphics and Joomla templates? I can pay in software licenses...

This perhaps may have been asked already, apologies if it has been but will there be a Mac version released of TyrellN6?Urs wrote:

The TyrellN6 is developed on a Mac and then ported to Win (which admittedly nowadays isn't a big deal at all). The beta is Mac AU/VST already.

Good luck yes.. but, to me, they seem to vote unusually.. for instance, Ivory II won versus Largo and Kontakt 4 last year..hakey wrote:Not sure you'll need it, but good luck with that!Urs wrote:Zebra is nominated for the MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Award)
Look at the nominees this year:
U-he Zebra 2.5 (German company)
Synthogy Ivory 2 Grand Pianos
Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V (Waldorf)
Again last year:
Native Instruments Kontakt 4 (German company)
Synthogy Ivory II (Winner)
Waldorf Largo (Waldorf)
And the year before that Omnisphere won..
But Zebra 2.5 is a big winner in my books

Omnisphere won with only 5 or so votes before Zebra that year... so I heard...VitaminD wrote:And the year before that Omnisphere won..there is no justice here!
