Sample Tank is like the mothership where you can have all the sounds of Miroslav Philharmonik, Sonik Synth 2, SampleMoog, and SampleTron at your disposal with only opening one app. Now how cool is that to have five synths in one? No longer do you need to open up each one to search for your sounds, it's all there. Squids gave me that tip and much more. If you play out live or carry a laptop you'll definitely appreciate the convenience. The Sample Tank engine has it's own uniqueness that other samplers can't do.

I paid double the price and more originally for these virtual instruments but then again I've been using them all this time because they were all worth their original price. For what their selling this, giving you epoints and adding all the bonus material, it's just too crazy not to pass up. I've been doing business with Esoundz and been involved in numerous GB's and never have seen a company go the extra mile to please even an "asshole" but that's what they do. I say this because there's not many people or companies that give a shit about their customer base and I feel people need to know this and that makes a difference to me at least.
That was one of the outtake slogans of the company. ;)

JK. Thanks!

Alright so we're only day 2 here. Not a bad start. GB number is at 15 which is some headway toward that first 100. Remember we have 2 full months for this one so it is almost guaranteed to reach at LEAST 100 (we've done close to 20 Group Buys and every single one has surpassed 100 and most did not have 2 months to do it). So feel confident you ARE going to get SOMETHING. But who knows? The excitement of a group buy like this is you could get maybe 10 for 1???? It IS possible.

Anyway, I am around to answer questions and tell stories. Some of you have heard my music stories to the point of vomiting and some of you love to hear them again and some have never heard anything or have no idea what SR is about or even why my nick is "Squids"... but you can bet there's a really good (or completely ridiculous) reason behind it!

I sampled most of the sounds in Sonik Synth 2, SampleTron and SampleMoog myself or with my partners over the years so I've touched and smelled the beautiful instruments these sounds came from. Sometimes captured in photos and video so I will share that with you so you can get a sense of what we're talking about. Between these Virtual Instruments you have a WEALTH of rare instrument sounds as well as some great meat and potatoes pianos, guitars, bass, drums and a full orchestra and choir in Miroslav which also has a cool story behind it. Let's get started!

The very FIRST product we did with IK Multimedia that started off originally as a Sonic Reality product before there even were any virtual instruments is "Sonik Synth 2" (originally just called Sonic Synth - Sonic Reality's "software synth" featuring years of sampling of keyboard sounds that we did for companies like Alesis, Roland, Yamaha and for ourselves, artists etc.).

You want to see some of these instruments collected in the Sonic Reality studio over the years? Here's some footage of that plus string sampling sessions, exotic instruments and more.

Not too long ago Keyboard Magazine did a spread on Sonic Reality's studio of vintage gear. It was the first (and only) time they did 3 pages in the back of the magazine for one studio space. But they couldn't resist (just like you can't resist this Group Buy! Come on! Haha). Juicy vintage CLASSICS waiting to play a character role in your music. Robbie Gennet, writer for the mag, is a freak for this stuff just like I am (and actually recorded his album in the studio right next door and rented gear from us like crazy).

Have a look at the pics from that spread and imagine that JUST getting Sonik Synth 2 will get you most of the sounds of the instruments you see in these pictures! http://www.sonicreality.com/amber/Keybo ... -SRWeb.pdf

[This is just the beginning... it's gonna get crazy in here... I am also going to be releasing secret links to FREE SampleTank sounds in this thread that are only available for 24 hours plus pictures of gear that no one has seen, new videos and other gearhead stuff so stick around and get involved. It's KVR! We love to talk gear and get free shit.]

Another Esoundz groupbuy. I always wanted to buy Miroslav, but last month AudioMidi had the Classic Edition for $15. So that's the original Miroslav for next to nothing. And I've got SonikSynth 2. Useful sounds, but the SampleTanks isn't intuitive and lacks some essential features. If SonikSynth 2 would be released as an Kontakt instrument, I'll consider to buy it again.

Well, first of all, if you want Sonik Synth's sounds in Kontakt then our new "Infinite Workstation" has most of those samples that we did plus even more things that Sonik Synth 2 doesn't have such as world instruments and percussion etc. So come and get it: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... code=IWKVR

Now, as far as Miroslav CE vs. the real deal full version... there's no question that deal was awesome. But so is this. The CE gets you in the ballpark but the full version has all of the performance variations which make it more expressive.

Regarding SampleTank not being intuitive... actually one of the things I like about it most is that it is very intuitive when it comes to meat and potatoes editing and processing. I am curious what you don't find intuitive or find lacking in features. I think it does well for what it's supposed to be - a sample PLAYER (like a "rompler") as opposed to a full blown sampler with sampler features. It doesn't have all of that like say EXS24 or Kontakt or other full blown samplers but that's not comparing Apples with Apples (no pun intended). But then again those other samplers don't have the same effects that SampleTank does or single screen fast editing. For me personally that's one of the reasons I use both SampleTank AND Kontakt (and others). They each offer something different.

In any case, keep in mind that SampleTank the software itself is actually FREE and it has its uses - mainly that it will play ALL of the sounds from these 5 instruments plus all 30 Xpansion Tank titles and other Sonic Reality SampleTank libraries on www.esoundz.com So you might as well get that since it is free (particularly if one has any of the other VI's in this promo or is getting one). So, REALLY the value of SampleTank 2.5 XL in THIS promo is the sound library which is quite good! It's unique because in addition to having sounds from Sonic Reality it has a load of sounds made by IK Multimedia in Italy and THOSE sounds are not available in any other format. They're exclusive to ST and there are some real gems in there whether it's pianos or other cool instruments they've sampled. Considering XL used to be $499 MSRP I think getting it for $99 is a steal! So maybe it IS a good choice - depending on your needs. That would cover a lot of meat and taters.

I got in the last group buy and am very happy with the instruments. As of lately, SampleTron has been a favorite. Especially "Trump Mute Wah LP" in the Chamberlin Music Masters folder.

Also, the Optigan Loops are classic. :)

Great stuff!

Those old style trumpets and trombones in the Chamberlin really have a lot of character. Like 40's music. Harry Chamberlin was really into that, Big Band etc. Can sound like a classic movie at times.

Never knew that.. Just like how you can use all the Amplitude Family with Amplitude3 under one app and have Hendrix waiting in the wings along with Fender, Amplitude SVX and Heavy Metal. I also one of the first to coin the term "ballsy" in 1967 after seeing Hendrix play in Newark during the Newark riots, guess great minds think alike

So does the Infinite Workstation contain all of Miroslav full?
Is there some sort of comparison chart?

It contains all of the orchestral sounds but not the choir. It's the same content as the Miroslav Refills which have high resolution versions of the samples which are better than the original $3,000 library from Miroslav.

But, we don't advertise it as Miroslav so there won't be any comparison chart made and all that. We co-own the archives so for Kontakt format we've just incorporated some of our best material which for orchestral includes those sounds plus more.

However, that should be a separate topic of discussion in our SR/eSoundz company forum. For this thread we should stay focused on the 5 SampleTank-based virtual instruments and other SampleTank sound collections that may be involved.

Well, this thread is waiting for your participation. But even without the thread we are at 29 people which is almost a third of the way to the first FREE additional library. Not bad for just a few days. ALL you need to do is be interested in just ONE of the 5 incredible VI workstations from IK and this Group Buy on esoundz should interest you. Not only can you get any of them for just $99 right now but if you get it from www.esoundz.com you stand to be able to get a free additional library. We may even make the first one a multiple choice where you can pick and choose amongst a variety of additional SampleTank format sample libraries from Sonic Reality.

Even if you own all 5 SampleTank-based virtual instruments already you can potentially get a free SampleTank library of unreleased material just for participating in this thread. You want something for free? Get involved. This can be as fun as you guys make it. We merely offer it when we can. This is already a great promo. But it can be so much better.

Thanks for the info squids, just realised Infinite isnt included in this deal.
$114 for the infinite Workstation sounds like a bargain then 8)

I highly suggest people look into the Sampletank XL... it is quite the competitor for Native Instruments Kontakt and imo at $99 is an amazing deal... lighter on CPU resources, but so simple to multi-layer the samples and the built in effects are top notch.

Here is your chance! http://www.esoundz.com :D

Thought I should finally buy the Miroslav Philharmonik, but disappointingly I'm asked to select shipping method. Any change to get these as downloadable?

Hi, it is a download product.
So another download product with shipping...

I guess I'll wait and see where this deal goes and decide between this and Audiomidi later. Or maybe someone at esoundz presses magic button and removes the shipping cost :)
