Actually some of the SampleTank specific features are quite unique and useful.
Here are some vids:
There's more on IK"s channel. The one on stretch is particularly interesting as it is a proprietary feature of SampleTank that I am surprised still to this day there isn't anything in a sampler plug-in that's comparable.
Anyway, I agree there's a certain charm to the sounds themselves that just isn't in any other library. A certain flavor to it that's lush and musical. Each orchestral library has its purpose sonically. I wouldn't be without my Miroslav samples.

Actually the original library sold for over $3,000 and was the first ever "high end" orchestra sample library. Obviously a lot has happened since. VSL and all that. But it's still quite high end in many ways. Perhaps not every spec but the recordings themselves were well made and the performances are very musical. That's what makes it great. It's funny because when we acquired the masters for this I had to go to through it and pick out the sounds that were in addition to the original library and we heard Miroslav himself directing the session. He was TOUGH! It was in another language but you could tell he was not about to compromise on anything. Pushed them until they played a scale like Mozart! Haha.TristezaOrange wrote:Miroslav is fantastic. I only got the Classik edition from the audio-midi no-brainer BUT I've been using it regularly at a friend's and it has this awesome, warm, lyrical tone that I haven't heard anywhere else. Sure, it's not really high-end stuff but if you need something for pop orchestrations (or anything else, really - it can shine in the hands of a skilled arranger) then it's unbeatable.
By the way, the Classik Edition is great and for that price it is truly a no-brainer. But the full version for $99 (or even $85 difference which you can probably get) is worth considering for all of the extra articulations and additional content. The full version was $599 when it first came out and that was even a lot less than the original library's price. Now getting it for under a hundred bucks is really something not to miss.

I do not plan on missing this great GB, to be honest. I'm probably getting the full Miro and I also have my sights on SampleTron. I just bought some other (great) stuff today though so I'll have to proceed as funds allow!

Great. Anyone who bought the Miroslav CE no brainer deal can ask Allen to put $15 of epointz into their account if they pick up the full version of Miroslav Philharmonik in this Group Buy. That's just a courtesy since it was just purchased and this is inclusive. That said, I am SURE AM would let you upgrade for the difference in price as well for those that want to do that. Only difference is that it wouldn't qualify for the Group Buy that way though. In any case, thanks to IK Multimedia there are some good options for getting great sounds for a much lower price than normal and that's what makes this cool! I am really happy for anyone who doesn't have these sounds yet because they're full of inspiration waiting to happen. Proven tools for music making and I really mean it when I say I wouldn't be without them myself as a musician, composer or producer. Incredibly useful tools we're talking about and they were worth it even at their original price.

We're just reasonable and think from the customer's perspective. I know what I'd be thinking if I just got that but had no idea there was going to be this deal. So instead of kicking yourself you can keep going and not feel to much if any penalty. It makes CE more like a "test" to see if you like it and if you do then you take advantage of something like this promo where you can just go for the whole thing.VariKusBrainZ wrote:beltrom wrote:Thanks! Anyway, those that know esoundz know that we are very customer oriented and fair. We really do the best we can within certain limits we have to work within. Plus Allen our support manager is one of the most caring guys in the business. He answers people on his off hours on nights and weekends. People love him. He takes good care of them.

Hi Squids,
I already own the miroslav CE from an earlier GB but I'm thinking about getting the full one. I know it's worth every $ but as a person with too few time for music, I might stay sticking to the small version. But maybe you can push me further towards the full one:
- Can we use our epoints in this groupbuy?
- Does your discount mentioned above also fits on CE-Versions from earlier groupbuys?
Kind regards, Gunnar

Epointz can't be used ON group buys but they can be EARNED when purchasing a group buy. So that means that if you can pick a name from here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=217796 and both you and that person will get 5% up to $5 back on your purchasing of the Group Buy. Those epointz can be used on your next purchase but yes it is like having an additional savings of another $4 or 5.Krabat wrote:Hi Squids,

The discount on the unofficial CE upgrade of getting a $15 epointz rebate is really for anyone who just bought it. But if you bought it awhile ago and can prove it somehow to Allen then I am sure he'll give it to you as well. To be clear it isn't a straight discount but a download sound credit on our site. Still... it's one more thing that makes it a great deal and another reason to upgrade.
However in my opinion the best reason to get the full version of Miroslav Philharmonik vs. the CE is the sounds. Casual user or not this deal is too good to pass up! It was originally a $599 MSRP plug-in and is full of inspiring useful sounds. Those additional articulations and instruments really make it expressive and more powerful as a composition tool. You never know what you might want to use in any given production so having it - at least at this price - is better than simply not having it. I think the key thing here is the price. It makes even the most casual symphonic sound user consider the "Why not?" and if you have CE it's almost like having a trial version to see. If you like that then you'll love the full one.

Haha. Yeah they've had their twists and turns. This is a long slow one but I really do think it's going to get good. The deal itself in the first place from IK alone is something that typically would do well on a store like esoundz. Making it a group buy is a challenge because most of the people who participated in past esoundz group buys probably have all of these by now (although if there were any VI in this that you're missing NOW IS THE TIME!). But, there's always epointz to pick up and maybe some bonus sounds just for getting involved and helping those new to these VI know what you like about them etc.Chester Desmond wrote:*sigh* I remember my first esoundz group buy ..I think it went something like:I have to say, esoundz seem to be very customer focused and are not shy of rewardng us

What we need in here are some questions. Lots of lurkers. Not enough questions. Ask away guys! Ask other users what they think of SampleTron or Sonik Synth or SampleTank XL or SampleMoog...
