Actually, Mario and I have planned to meet up for a long time... it'll eventually happen and there'll eventually be something tangible...

Regarding the high CPU usage. I just installed Tyrell a minute ago. I found a cool patch in the presets that eats up 23% CPU (In the FL Studio CPU meter). However, when I disable multithread processing for Tyrell, the CPU came down to 17%.
Play it by ear

Think of it as a feature. Besides, it's already improved since the first beta.1-2-Many wrote:ANy plans to address the high CPUsage or is it what it is?

Just record the part to audio or freeze or flatten it, that may you get high quality with low cpu usage.I do this with ACE all the time.Everything ends up as audio in the end anyway. You can then disable the track in your daw so if you need to edit you can come back to it.1-2-Many wrote:ANy plans to address the high CPUsage or is it what it is?

My System (Phenom II X4 QuadCore, 3.2 Ghz) doesn't bog down so much when I use Tyrell. I'm always on 6-10% CPU usage even when I play heavy chords. But I haven't tested all patches so far.

im getting around 20-30% on single notes here, bit high....even compared to ACE/Bazzille, but havent really spent any time with it yet, so can prob address that myself if needs be.opus_diaboli wrote:My System (Phenom II X4 QuadCore, 3.2 Ghz) doesn't bog down so much when I use Tyrell. Indeed - thank youUrs wrote:The cpu usage is "as is". But you get more than what you pay for
I was just wondering if there remained the possibility for optimization within the code, or if the synth was pretty much optimized as it is now. It seems you're saying the latter - thanks for the clarification.
