Don't forget Multitrack DAW for ipad and ipod/phone. 24 audio tracks with eq and compression!

I've got this and it's great for sketching ideas with an ipod touch. Very usable interface.
Music is something you DO. Spend time, not money.

Yeah this is pretty good too. I've got it on both my iPad and iPhone.

The narrator of that video is full of bull; "You can apply up to 3 insert effects for each track but if you did that you'd bring the CPU to an abrupt halt. Not even the latest intel core i7 could handle that".. yeah right.

Last I counted I had a project running in Reaper with over 100 tracks, each having an average of 3 plugins inserted, not counting all the busses, sends and master effects.

Cheers!

I have Multitrack DAW, I've used it sometimes for pasting together things, it works as it should and I've nothing against it, but it's really simple. Meteor seems to take things to a whole new level. With automation curves, effect racks, sample editing etc.

Looking at the developers website though, http://www.4pockets.com/ isn't very.. comforting. They DO make the Aurora Sound Studio HD app though, which is supposedly pretty good. But at least this shows that it's possible to make a quite advanced DAW app for the iPad, for me it would be great to have an earlier version of Cubase SX for example on my tablet.

Depends on the plug-in ;) Maybe if all the plug-ins were Wavearts Tubesaturator you might run out of juice pretty quickly even on I7 .. And this proggie looks awesome btw! Love ios
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool
