Hehe, we havn't become tired of upgrading it yet - and as you can see, there's still something we might want to addmetalifuxx wrote:I think you now loose any credibility saying Zebra is the only synth you needUrs wrote:It's more of a museum than a studio... there's also an actual studio (soundproof room), but it's pretty bland in terms of equipment yet...

^^^ Okay, you want to add Batman, Iron Man, and -- I don't know what the third poster happens to be, but I DO recognize it vaguely!
(Coincidentally, "The Dark Knight Rises" will be filmed [at least partially?] in Pittsburgh.

The third poster is "Babylon AD" which uses my "DroneDarknessOrchestra" preset in dozens of variations all over the score. Not in the picture is the Inception poster on the other wall. I havn't yet founbd posters for The International, Transformers and Angels & Demons though. Need to add "3" if I find itdhalfen wrote:^^^ Okay, you want to add Batman, Iron Man, and -- I don't know what the third poster happens to be, but I DO recognize it vaguely!
(I think it would be odd to add "Sherlock" to the collection as it only has a single sound from a synthesizer in the whole score... doesn't quite qualify as zebra-centric

(If anyone has an MS-20 without the screw in the VCA-diagram in Berlin...)

My fairly simple setup... but hey, at least I don't get distracted, so I can concentrate on actually making musi...never mind..
Changed a bit since last time I posted here.

The X-Station is currently in a closet. Still trying to decide if it's worth keeping it or if I should maybe sell it.

Care full what you ask for. Just a start, its going to take about 8 months to set up completely. Also needs some much better speakers.

That's a good point. Wasn't it Urs who offered a discount to people who would send him a picture of themselves posing next to a hardware synth that they had replaced with Zebra?metalifuxx wrote:I think you now loose any credibility saying Zebra is the only synth you needUrs wrote:It's more of a museum than a studio... there's also an actual studio (soundproof room), but it's pretty bland in terms of equipment yet...

Hehe, they hadn't had to stand next to it, they just had to place the "retired and replaced by Zebra" card on itA.M. Gold wrote:That's a good point. I don't quite get though why I'd loose credibility - the opposite should be the case, what if a developer doesn't have the gear he "emulates"?
I love these machines. One can still learn a lot from these and they're fun to play. They're just also a pain to produce with, hence I'd use a plugin for production

Had an update this easter weekend. More organised, positive space and away from the rest of the noise in the house. Need some advice for some minimal acoustic installation and advised measurement tool for getting the speakers conifgured correctly. More ITB added since last summer and now ready to get to work. Been using some old Spirit Absolute 2's and Alesis Amp, upgraded to the Adams A7x which I thoroughly recommend.
