Who cares at this point. If your DAW isn't connected to the internet, it's totally useless. Did the guys at IK really think that wouldn't be an issue? Apparently.

yeah I hate to say it but I'm connected whenever I work
However, I'll restate, this is the "iphone app" idea. I'm not opposed to it if it works* But I'm a bit skeptical that there are going to be some things us DAW types are going to struggle with.
IF it is released this week I'm almost certain it will be friday, which means no CS till monday
I hope I'm wrong and it's tomorrow.
*will it work???

Custom Shop works in a way very similar to in-app purchases on the iPhone.
However, this idea has actually been in the works for a couple years now, before in-app purchases existed. But everyone is still going to think that IK got the idea from iOS. But if it helps people understand how Custom Shop works, then so be it.

hey, I want to coin my own interwebby phrase AT (2, 3, 3.5...whatever) I now will call @3, @3.5 etc (saves a lot typing and we all know how I feel about typing too much)

what? You dont like it? Soon all the cool people will be calling it @ and because of this post when IK starts using I can prove it was my idea first and get royalties...Gibson will have a Les Paul like Zack's but instead of a bullseye it will be a @ and they will have to call it the Hink Signature Model Les Paulhibidy wrote:Hink, you are NOT getting a pony and that is final![]()

Hink, we have decided to adopt your @ short-hand... but as a counterbalance, the version number must now be spelled out.
Have fun jamming in @ Three Point Five this weekend!
