it's a lot of presets. and how do you save as .at3p from AT2 or X-Gear?Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote: You should keep them installed if you want access to your legacy presets formats. Best thing to do is to resave them all as .at3p, then you shouldn't need the old versions anymore.

You need to have the software installed and those presets should be accessible inside of AmpliTube 3.5. You save them as .at3p there.

I'm in the middle of tracking a guitar heavy tune... Can Xgear and Ampli3Free exist happily together? I don't wanna put the work on this track into jeopardy by upgrading and then being up he creek... Or do I just finish the track (which could take some time still and then install Ampli3Free).

So if you own the full version do you have all these already? What is the "full" version now if not?

You have to jump through a few hoops but everything you have now will work in this. For example, I had to go through the "restore my gear" with the plug in AS WELL as the standalone.aMUSEd wrote:So if you own the full version do you have all these already? What is the "full" version now if not?
It's very strange. I'll have to shoot off a ticket about the mouseover problem......PO'ED because it work bridged
Honestly, after that long long long wait and someone didn't catch this? (I'd have caught it

FREE and full are the same. If you purchase the full AmpliTube 3, then the AmpliTube 3 amps will become unlocked.

No I don't have it - I was wanting to know if the "full" version actually is full now or if it's just less limited and you'd still have to fork out for extra amps etc.hibidy wrote:You have to jump through a few hoops but everything you have now will work in this. I would like to know how can i convert my IK JamPoints into Gear Credits.
And please, tell me it's possible...![]()
Cheers!
-------------------------------------------in another thread, Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:You first cash in your Jam Points to get a promo code. Then, when you click to buy more credits in the Custom Shop application, you will choose the amount you would like to purchase. After clicking on your selection, you will be taken to a new screen where you put in your billing information. At the bottom of this page is a field for Promo Code, right above where you Proceed to Checkout. Put the code that was generated when you redeemed your Jam Points there.
Make sure that you do not redeem more than half the purchase price of the credit pack you want to purchase.

Not really a good place to put them. Would not (on Windows 7 anyway), a sub-folder in ...\ ProgramData be a more suitable location?Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:3.5 fixes past UAC compliance issues, by moving the preset location out of the protected Program Files folder and into My Documents. You will finally be able to save presets with UAC turned on.firepile wrote:Yes, they are now in the user docs folder (c:\Users\[username]\Documents\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 3\Presets). Simply move your presets to this folder and they should appear on the presets menu.hibidy wrote:BACK UP YOUR PRESETS!!!!!!!!11!!!11
I've seen quite a few people who lost them.
On that note, x64 (windoze).......if you simply installed the update is it possible that the presets are only in the x86 PF and need to be moved?

Hmm, how about a "Load on Demand" option to keep the size down and to avoid loading everything?jensa wrote:With Amplitube 3.5 it's slightly more than 300 MB per instance in Reaper. This is no good at all so I guess I have to limit my guitar tracks to... 4 per project (yes, without the hassle of freezing etc). Hrmpf. Fancy interfaces though.chrisby wrote:This might be answered elsewhere but... does the new release no longer load everything you own as one big blob for each instance? Seems if I remember right each instance would take about ~250mb of memory. Not such an issue these days for most but back in the day more than a few instances would necessitate a track/freeze and archive in Sonar....
I think the rationale was so you could switch between different models w/o having to wait (which is fair enough) but if that's not how it's being used I wonder if they've allowed for that.

I would certainly stick with what you've got. And leave the upgrade until later.GeorgeZ wrote:I'm in the middle of tracking a guitar heavy tune... Can Xgear and Ampli3Free exist happily together?
