They are probably busy locking more of my Fender SE.

it's a strange sort of update.. a new user can come along download AT3 free version and have a nice selection of free stuff and the ability to buy more..
The long term actual purchaser of amplitube gets a few minor adjustments (to my eyes/ears anyway) and the same ability to buy more.. fair?
(or am i just turning in to a grumpy old fart..
)
-custom shop looks nice anyway... for the 30 seconds i actually managed to get on there

Make sure you use your old Amplitube serial when authorizing. I accidently authorized Amplitube 3 Free and all my stuff was locked, too. Did a uninstall/re-install and used the correct serial and everything was OK.kcisANDderit wrote:i've got all kinds of amps, stomps, mics and who knows what else that are still lockedsergevoluminous wrote:Anyone else have the problem of part of Fender SE staying locked?
the 1x8 combo modern cab doesn't even appear in AT3, locked or unlocked

I'll try that, but most of Fender SE is there, it's just a couple of rack effects still locked.

to be clear, are you saying you used an old AT3 serial?heffus wrote:Make sure you use your old Amplitube serial when authorizing.
I don't have AT3. Only AT2 and X-Gear
edit: didn't work using AT2 serial (X-Gear serial is not accepted). Stuff is still locked

This sounds interesting. I have AT2, and GR4, so I think I'm pretty set for amp models for someone who doesn't play guitar, but I've been drooling over the rotary speaker in AT3. This would be a great way to get it without shelling out the money for a bunch of stuff I probably wouldn't use.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:AmpliTube Custom Shop Now Shipping From IK Multimedia
A new tone shopping experience for software plug-ins
IK Multimedia is proud to announce the release of AmpliTube 3 Custom Shop, the updated 3.5 version of IK's leading amp and effects modeling software. The Custom Shop is an entirely new tone shopping experience that is like visiting a real guitar store, but one that is open 24/7 right in the comfort of your own studio. The AmpliTube Custom Shop has the widest offering of legendary, officially certified brands and a price model affordable to anyone for building your truly custom tone.
Every new user can start by downloading a FREE, fully functional version of AmpliTube 3 - both a standalone application and plug-in - with a collection of 24 gear models (9 stomp boxes, 4 amplifiers, 5 cabinets, 3 microphones, 2 rack effects and digital tuner) for recording and mixing in their favorite Mac/Win DAW, for playing on stage or practicing at home.
Then with the new Custom Shop feature - directly accessible within AmpliTube using an online connection - over 200 gear models of stomp boxes, amplifiers, cabinets, microphones and rack effects can be browsed, auditioned and purchased à la carte.
This got me thinking, how about a virtual modular synth, where you could buy modules ala carte like this? The base instrument could have a few mainstays (osc, filter, lfo, envelope...), and the user could add to it as his needs and budget dictated. Even if the brand names couldn't be used, there would still be a lot of interesting stuff that could be modeled.

Has anyone else had problems with the preset browser not working after the upgrade? My preset list (and patch list) is completely blank, despite the fact that all of my presets (and new patches) are in the Amplitube 3 program directory. How do I get that list repopulated?

You have to manually copy them to /users/YOURNAME/documents/ik....DrApostropheX wrote:Has anyone else had problems with the preset browser not working after the upgrade? If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer
