:!: CORRECTION: AmpliTube Custom Shop FREE will also detect your installed Powered By AmpliTube software and unlock this gear without need for restoring online in the Custom Shop!
Only SVX and AmpliTube 3 shows up on my list; all others (that I own) are absent. Do I need to run both AmpliTube 3.5 FREE AND AmpliTube 3.5 (side-by-side) to see and use what I already own?
The only thing left is AmpliTube Fender. Do you have that authorized on your system?

Other legacy AmpliTube products are already rolled into AmpliTube 3, so you would see anything else as that. Legacy products being detected and unlocked are for people who do not own AmpliTube 3, but do own some combination of AT Hendrix, Metal, AmpliTube 2, AT 2 Live, etc.

You do not need to run AmpliTube 3 and Custom Shop FREE side by side.

Post

Thanks Brian. Yes, I do own and have authorized Fender. The problem is, once custom shop is launched I cannot access any of my Fender OR Metal models as they become locked. Anyway, I've submitted a ticket....

Hi Brian

is there any word yet on a fix for Amplitube 3.5 x64?
I'm referring to The crashing that seems to be caused by the Compressor Pedal.

I have got in touch with tech support about it, just thought maybe you might have some info on whether its gonna get sorted anytime soon or not.

Post

Our JamPoints dont work towards pedal purchases? Lame... :(

Post

How many jam points are awarded for a $59.99 purchase of 70 "gear credits"?

So I am "begging" for discounts now? Why are you badgering me? So, I'm wrong for wanting an upgrade or crossgrade price for being a repeat customer who's invested thousands in IKM's products? Seriously, what's your beef with me?
If you had started posting a couple weeks back about how amplitube was
languishing at 32 bits, and the fx chain was a pain to modify, and you'd
spent big bucks on the IK products, and are less than satisfied, no-one would notice. But now that IK put out a free upgrade, you ignore its good points, because you perceive a lack of discounts? For all we know, they may be taking
a loss on some of the new models, corporate branding negotiations are two sided.
Lots of stores say "50% Off!" and it's meaningless unless you can verify the
other stores are selling it for double. How many outfits are selling Soldano
ampsims of the same quality? If it's an exclusive deal, does that make it cheaper, or more expensive?

I'm sorry, I missed where you posted these rules earlier. Can you show me where you post all of your rules so we can be sure to meet your standards? Up until this update I had no problem with Ik, in fact, if you've read my posts, you'll see my list of software from them is quite extensive.

So let us look at the ik email telling us about the new version. Bold is their email.
What's new:

With the new <http://www.iknewsletter.com:>AmpliTube 3 FREE, all users of Powered by AmpliTube products (AmpliTube FenderTM, Ampeg® SVX, AmpliTube Metal, AmpliTube Jimi HendrixTM, AmpliTube 2 Live, AmpliTube Fender SE and LE, AmpliTube DUO, Ampeg SVX UNO, etc.), will gather all their gear collections in a single interface (as with the previous AmpliTube X-GEAR) that offers greatly enhanced features and à la carte expandability. In addition to your current collections, you get:

Cool new features for new users, I already had this since I already paid to upgrade, new users get this free.

<http://www.iknewsletter.com>
24 included gear models in AmpliTube 3 FREE can be used on a double series/parallel rig with Stomp Box Effects, Amps, Cabinets, Microphones and Rack Effects
again, new users

Try and buy hundreds of gear models à la carte 24/7 online in the <http://www.iknewsletter.com:>
Custom Shop for as low as $3 each with <http://www.iknewsletter.com:Gear Credits
The Custom Shop includes officially certified models from legendary brands such as FenderTM, Orange®, Ampeg®, SoldanoTM and many more

Okay, this is for everyone. established users get the same access as new users, though new users could partake of Amplitube at a substantially lower price if they only want a few of the amp features up to a possibly quite higher price to replace the entire package ala carte. Plus if you didn't pay to upgrade to Amplitube 3 then you almost get the update free now, minus a few extra amps, effects. ( which were and are really good stuff)nWe'll call this fairly even for both new and established users. Also, this is what this update is all about, correct?

Now this list below, what is new?

Standalone and Plug-in versions for every DAW
nope
Cabinet/Room module with freely movable mics
nope
Stomp and Rack FX "drag & drop" configuration
nope
Both mono and full stereo signal path
nope
Advanced preset management with online sharing service
nope but improved?
4-track audio recorder/player with SpeedTrainer
nope
"Eco-Mid-High" quality modes
nope
"MIDI Learn" feature
nope
Enhanced foot controller integration with StompIO and StealthPedal
new
Native compatibility with 64-bit DAWs on MacOS and Windows
[/b] new

So a new user gets the same major part of the update as the established user with access to the custom shop and all of the new features.

I've never said it is a bad update, just that it seems to be rewarding new users more than those who paid for the upgrade.

Post

Oh Waaaaa...I've never seen such a bunch of moaning over an update that rewards new users more than an older user...sheeesh. :help:

I've come to the point where my laptop is about maxed out in terms of ampsims and I'm enjoying what I have now...

A little improvement:

About the "previous/next amp"-buttons on the amp panel: Let the mouse stay on the buttons while switching through the amps. The buttons are placed on different positions on different amps. The mouse needs to be automatically moved with the buttons. Otherwise your next click goes into nirvana.

Oh waaaa, moaning about people moaning! Where will it end?  :P

Post

Oh, can it already... geez :?

Anyway, Brian, I decided to re-auth A3Free (again :D ), just to double check if it made a difference to Metal not getting picked up by restore. No go, so I did the support ticket thing.

Cheers,

I'm just languishing at 32 bits while I beg for discounts yo :D

Post

Just installed AT3.5 (Mac, Logic). Everything I already owned is unlocked, 64 bits works fine, no complaints. Custom shop is a little slow, but works.

Just one thing I noticed: dragging'n'dropping pedals and effects does not seem to work in the 64 bit version. I'd imagine this is a known "feature", and probably mentioned somewhere, but I couldn't find anything about it?
