I hate prev/next buttons. If you do add buttons please consider an option to disable them. Accidentally clicking and changing settings and then not being able to undo is such a bummer. It's worse with synths where you can lose hours of work , but still. I'd much rather pick what I want specifically or dial it in. Maybe a preset browser on it's own "tab" with prev/next buttons would work?

While I think it works fine now, it wouldn't be terrible if ValhallaRoom worked with Logic's preset browsing system .

Rhythmically sweeping the decay is a cool effect I've been playing with lately. Anyway, waiting for my license to come. 8)

WOW, just WOW! I been playing with it all day and I love it. Also for not enormous large halls that I usually prefer. :hihi:

I got Eos already, which I love to bits. Dunno what to do

Nice one Sean!

The preset browser is completely unusable here on my laptop in Reaper
Click to bring the menu up and then the interface slows down so much that you cant even click a preset :(

Will try it on the main computer later

I'm working on a solution. I can't repeat the bugs on my systems (and many users are unable to reproduce the bug in question), but the discussion on the Cockos forum thread is helping me to narrow down the possible causes.

Bought! :)

And I have no issues here in Reaper 3.75 / latest alpha build.

Sounds beautiful and works fine here in Reaper too, just the occasional crash when switching presets, but I converted all to Reaper native presets so no trouble after that obviously.

Here are all the factory presets converted to Reaper presets: http://www.box.net/shared/9mvda02nnk

Being a big fan of your free FreqEcho (which I always recommend), I have been looking forward to checking out your commecial offerings. When Shimmer came out, everyone raved about it. But I wasn't looking for such a "drastic" reverb. I'd only be able to use this type of reverb very occasionally (on some soundtrack music perhaps), and the $50 seemed better spent elsewhere (I have a long list of things that I want). So I didn't even demo it (knowing that it was great at overdoing things).

Anyway, I just downloaded the demos of both shimmer and room.

Shimmer is high quality. If I had enough money to splurge for it (as something really nice to get that I would only seldomly use) I would. It felt like a great sound designing tool as well as "just" a reverb. But the $50 still seems steep for my needs, and I'm still going to have to pass on it for the time being.

Room is high quality. High quality reverberation is the department in which I have been lacking. I have a few commercial offerings (average quality) and a couple decent freeware reverbs, but after playing with Room for half an hour and testing it on different sounds, trying presets and tweaking a few of my own, I just know I have to have it. It will certainly be my flagship reverb (when it comes to algorithmic reverbs) .I am very impressed with the sound, and the low CPU usage is great. This is the reverb I have been waiting for (without having to break the bank). So thank you, and I will be purchasing soon. Most likely this weekend.

Some comments: The GUI is too big in my opinion. Does VALHALLAROOM really need to take up that much space? The version number, website address, etc.. could be in a smaller font, or in a pop up that displays when clicking on the Valhallaroom logo. The mix, predelay, decay, high cut, depth sliders don't need to be that big. Neither do the knobs. I am actually a fan of big GUI's. I have big monitors, but it doesn't seem the GUI needs to be so big for Room. It would be nice to be able to turn the browser on/off so that when it's on it always displays. It wouldn't close when switching presets. Or something like u-he does for his synths (Triple chesse, Tyrell..) You hit load and the browser pops up so you can switch presets. You make the browser go away by unclicking load. I got a crash in Fl Studio when switching presets (with the demo of Room). If you want to know the error message, I will try to reproduce.

I am excited about this reverb! I love $50 plugins that I can really use! The last time I was this happy about buying a $50 plugin is when I got the Stillwell Rocket compressor.

Keep up the great work. Room is going to get used on a lot of sounds!!!
Play it by ear

Thanks for these. Now we do not need even previous/next buttons.

Is there no way to extend the pre-delay time? It would be nice for certain effects to go as far as 1sec. I don't think there is a Reverb on the market that can do that.

Oh, I am buying it anyways, cause I love Shimmer and you made a 64bit version, so it's future proof and I am happy. :) Any goal for making Freq Echo 64 bit? Would be a shame to lose it in the inevitable upgrade 64 OS. :(

Does this come with presets?

I mean if I open the preset menu both "USER PRESETS:" and "VALHALLA PRESETS:" menu's are empty. In EnergyXT 2.5.4 on Windows 7 that is.

Can't you simply put a delay in front of it in series to get the predelay you want? Using this combo as a send could get you far more than just 1 second if you want!

Flamebait? Eh, I'll respond to bump this thread so more people might buy Valhallaroom. :) ----> Image
On a more philosophical note I'm not sure if aimlessly clicking through presets supports a creative mindset conductive to good music, but whatevs. Bottom line is I've lost more time by getting super excited, misclicking and losing work than by having to go to a drop down menu.
