Yes and no. Not keen on being sued, so..
I'm going to provide you with a selection of Mods and Presets that enable you to explore the sonic range that Compassion can offer, including some familiar sonic signatures, and some less familiar.
Is that an adequately vague answer?
Dave.

Hi Dave,
So far the discussion seems to focus on all the "techniques" that Compassion is capable of. Quite impressive! But, I'm also curious about its "sound." A big debate (and for some, frustration) revolves around the extent that software can capture the analog characteristics of hardware. Further, some compressor plugins have a distinct "sound color" to them, while others opt for more of a "clean" approach. For example, one plugin that has a nice tone is Abbey Roads' RS124. Does Compassion have one distinct sound, or is it capable of some variety in this area?

The Compassion design process started with understanding all the major circuit topologies in analogue gear and the like. Then I found ways to generalise the models so that you could tweak the sound in depth. I'm going to write some blog posts about all this, because I've not seen it done anywhere else.
TL;DR: Yes. It's really unbelievably flexible.
This is why the Mods system is so important, so you can get stuff done fast without having to tweak every individual parameter
Dave.

I had to look this up.
Latency = 0
+ lookahead delay (upto 8192, variable)
+ 1024 if the Linear-Phase Split is engaged
+ upto 512 (when Clip-Limiter is engaged, depending on Basis setting)
+ 246 (when Oversampling is engaged)
But yeah, with nothing clever enabled, it's zero latency.

Wow, looks enticing. Wish I wasn't broke.
This will certainly be shunted to near the top of my priorities list, though.

Looks like there may be some discount for people who already have EQuality, so that will make it even more enticing for me.

You can add so many characteristics to Compassion that it can be far more coloured than anything else I've used, on the flip of that, it's all adjustable.
We've made it as flexible as possible so that you choose how you want it to be. As regards other bus compressors and limiters, it should give any of them a run for their money and then leave them in the dust. It has now replaced all dynamics processors for me, I even use it as my main gate now.
