No, definitely not Whittaker. My dad had loads of his stuff when I was a kid... not something I need to remember.

Maybe predictably for me, you can focus your searches on american guitar bands of the 80s/90s, probably labelled 'AltRock'...

Hmmm...a few more Bostonians in there, I'll wager; probably at least one Pixie; and David Pajo, because he gets around a lot.

yes to bostonians, no to pixies (but a pixies spin off band is relevant), and, yes, David Pajo is there...

Not sure how to give clues really... clues to the bands would be too easy..?
