wtf? e-licencer problem help

Nobody had this problem in my previous post? How come it works on my laptop and not on my main DAW?

just an idea. Could you connect the USB dongle to a different USB port, maybe one which is not part of an USB Hub?

I tried all that mate, no dice I haven't even done anything to the system..
Can't see where the problem lies. The control center is the latest one but its
doing this every time now. Works perfect on the laptop both systems are x64 bit OS too as i said.

Hi Rob,

especially that error message is crazy as it says that you need the latest version but that's the one you already use...
Did you press "Recover" after the session from the last video?

At the problem which i had "Recover" and a restart of the PC seemed to solve the problem.

The fact that the dongle works on the notebook is even more crazy.

Yes i restarted the pc over and over, i tried other usb ports. As shown in the video when i install the control center and start the first time all my licences are there. As soon as i close it and re-open it the licences are gone. This doesn't happen on my laptop and they all work fine.. It's crazy yes and my head is battered lol.. No solution so far, like i say i haven't adjusted the system.

As you got the Blue and Predator licenses on the dongle: Did you ask at the Rob PApen forum about this?

As you got a few Waldorf license there it's also possible to ask Wolfram or Stefan Stenzel...

For Steinberg support (for e.g. eLicenser and Wavelab) you must be registeed to a "MySteinberg" account AFAIK:

Maybe a bit radical solution...

I would try to contact support either at Rob Papen, Steinberg or Waldorf.

BTW i think the latest versions of the Rob Papen software use a different protection now:

I have just updated Predator to v1.6 and Blue to 1.9 which use the new copy protection (=serial number).

This way the licenses for Blue and Predator stay at my dongle but in fact they have no use anymore.

I would recommend to upgrade too to get the Rob Papen software working again.
You need an account at the Rob PApen website for this but that should be known.

Yea, highly recommend to update these.

Site note: As far as I know, if you're having problems while downloading a license this is not because of the developer itself. You're actually connecting to Steinberg, not the company. Some people don't know and blame the developer or the copy protection method used. And Steinberg seems to have issues since around 2 weeks now.

Yes but i have it all working on my laptop now with no problems at all. It's only when i plug into mt main DAW that the licences disappear from the dongle.

Hi Rob

Just to make sure , you really should update any of our Rob Papen plugins to the latest versions, we no longer use elicenser at all.

So if you haven't alreayd, register any plugins at our website, www.robpapen.com, and then click on the "Get 1.x" , for instance 1.6 for Predator.

You'll be sent a new serial, register this, and then download the latest version, from the download page, and install it.

During installation enter the new serial, and the plugin will be unlocked.
