i am attempting to authorise density lite
i have downloaded the code
i insert it when asked
but it does nothing

it says i should use the email i used in my transaction
but there is no transaction...
'cos the authorisation doesn't come through email

any help/ideas?

What's the difference between Density and Pulsaret?

Are these any good? Are they stable on systems without Max/MSP?

Density is very powerful for granular mangling. I have the stand alone version and it's rock solid, never had any problem with it.

Density is pure classic granular synthesis where you run audio/samples into its buffer and then manipulate the grains. Pulsaret (tried the demo but I don't have it) is experimental prototype granular synthesis, you don't load any audio in the buffer but it uses shapes to create grainlets and pulsars, or something like that, very different than Density. Well why don't you give both demos a try!

I bought Density last year but never ended up using it much because it takes literally nearly 5 minutes to open up. It's the slowest opening program I've ever used. I'm running the standalone version on 2 different PCs with Windows 7. Do you have the same problem, or does it open in normal time for you?

It's a bit slow but not 5 minutes here, just tried to check and it take about 1min and half, which is not a problem for me. Really, 5 minutes? Maybe you should get in touch with Alessandro via his website and check that with him.
