okay here is the pic, the top pair is direct through my presonus (ch 1&2) and the next pair are run to the emu and back then recorded through the presonus (ch 9&10) and the numbers on the timeline are 1.720ms, 1.740ms, 1.760ms, 1.780ms, 1.800ms or .020ms apart...so you can see there is no latency added by monitoring through hardware...well I guesstimate maybe .005ms which I consider none

I think tomorrow I will do the same test with different fx

Check out the Fender Pitch Shifter rack effect in AmpliTube. It does something very similar. You'll need parallel RACKS to do tri-tone, but it has the same polyphonic tracking.metalifuxx wrote:T-Rex Octavius

Sounds like one of the best octave pedals I have heard in recent years. Very good tracking, with hardly any artifacts, and can do low and also HI octaves. Simple controls too.
Please say you will model this, if IK is doing any more T-Rex pedals.
There was a thread a few months back about wanting a good Boss OC-2 emulation. I think the T-Rex pedal has that beat.

I'm excited too, but I think I'll have enough hours of tweaking fun with the new crop to tide me over. I know people are going ga-ga for the Soldano, but to me the Orange's are da bomb, as the kids say. Word.

Bootsie's NastyVCS has got what it takes to precisely align out-of-phase signals.P.T. wrote:
I have run an amp sim through a cab sim that has 2 slots for cab impulses and used 2 different cab impulses. Each sounded OK by themselves, but horrible together. It sounded like phasing and comb filtering.
I don't think these things always play well together.
I have also had problems using 2 sax samples that sounded different and used them in unison and they phased when played together.

Just put the two signals on separate mixer channels or groups and adjust the phase on one of them.

when it comes to jet city I want the real deal because I'm on this kick now that I have the place to mic a cab. I want the 20 watt head and the pico valve I REALLY WANT THAT ISO CAB BUT IT"S NOT OUT YEThibidy wrote:Er a, so when is this "jet city" thing happening
I also want a Blackheart Handsome Devil (I think that's the right name), an Egnator Tweaker, a TT, a Bogner Alchemist, possibly a Blackstar, Kustom has a combo around 500 bux I want to check out and of course I want to build a Marshall 18 watt replica but modded. (naturally I'll never see all those, but I can ddream)
What I do not want is another 50 watt or 100 watt amp but that doesn't mean I wont get one. I would love an old Ampeg V4 or V2 head.
As for sims, how about beam blocking on the speakers? After reading about the Weber Beamblocker I went into research mode and found that duct tape was indeed a good thing to use on the grill cloth of a cab. Not always, but sometimes and it's fun experimenting with it...I quickly understood why SRV liked doing this. I would love to see a sim add this feature or perhaps some ir's (of course there are probably some already that I have missed)

I have to try this and get my head around it to see if this would help my issues...I think it would...thanx susiwongsusiwong wrote:Bootsie's NastyVCS has got what it takes to precisely align out-of-phase signals.P.T. wrote:

Works like a charm, it's dead easy.Hink wrote:I have to try this and get my head around it to see if this would help my issues...I think it would...thanx susiwong
Just go by ear, adjust the pot for strongest signal and you're done.
Ignore the switches for now, they are not that essential.
And who knows, Bootsie might be working on an even improved version (in a different context) ?

Tiny terror, matching cab, single mic (rooms off) and some nice big rob papen delay on a bus is just DOING IT for me right now. And if you want a little extra juice just slap a comp up frontzerocrossing wrote:Are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet?!hibidy wrote:Er a, so when is this "jet city" thing happening![]()
