Just like his EQ.

I'm expecting this to be the best. (Is this even possible?)

Well, just a look at the feature list shows that this is the most advanced dynamics processor out there. Am I wrong on that? I've never seen such a vast feature list for one?

I don't know if it's possible to be "the best", but if it's anywhere near as good as it's feature list suggests, it may very well be.

This just might be "the best" ("the most"?). Looks like Pro-C crossed with FLUX!

Oh god, I've got a demo license...cover me, I'm goin' in, boys!! :-o

well,,,it doesn't crash Logic now (thanks for that fix :tu: ), but when logic loads, Compassion is not "available" as a plug in...when i open "finder", it is in the same folder/location as Equality,,,so it's there,,,but i can't load it in logic...the only plug in available under Audio Units/DMG Audio is Equality...

Yeah, this is Logic being hypercautious. Open AU Manager, untick Compassion, retick Compassion, hit ok, enjoy :)

The most important things to me are delivered:

It's extrem transparent (if you want it to be) :)

It could smack a lot!

Now it's time to rtfm, cu next week :)

Well done Sirs!

Bloody hell. This thing is amazing. It's almost...too punchy? Too powerful? Wow. Very impressive. I shouldn't have tried... :(

Top row, 2nd from the right. Like EQuality.
like the usual attack/release,output/GR etc. Even flicking through the mods the bottom part of the gui doesn't show.

So i flicked through the presets and noticed latency and cpu usage varying wildly and then at first i was like "wtf this isn;t a complex compressor lol" and then when the presets changed so many values i said "shit where is the button to do that" and then i saw the screenshot and DING everything made sense, no bottom advanced tweak panel here, and i realized i am either missing something very obvious, or there is a bug in mac version gui.
Sorry, it's the former :P

You open it with the little "=" in the upper right-hand corner.

It's a little beast ;) Upward compression, transient shaper, expansion... Sidechain with VST3 (this baby can duck as hell :-o).
Concept and design makes sense, the "hidden" parameters are a good idea. I think I have only seen half of all parameters :D

Can I get a screenshot? Mail it over if you like :)
Also in compassion the main action display is pausing intermittently and skipping frames. Also the basic loading is 4 % cpu but there is a preset that takes it to 47% but i have to find it again
It pauses when you mouseover. I and some other testers find it really useful to be able to pause the thing so easily. I can lock that out as a preference if you really want it?

Also, you should definitely expect an oversampled linear-phase split super all-features all-dancing mastering preset to use a phenomenal heft of cpu. It'll do whatever you ask it to.

Right. Studio One issue. Does EQuality have the same (or a similar) problem in Studio One?

I'll get on to those guys and get this fixed.

Cheers,

Dave.
