I sampled the playground I take my daughter too: big plastic slides, metal poles, fences, sand grinding underfoot. sounds pretty silly, but you can put together a pretty cool sounding drum part with this stuff. here's a song I did with it:

it's not mapped out GM style as it is a pretty random selection of sounds and I put the kit together for that song. you can always just write the part with a standard drum kit and then move the notes to the sound you like in my Playground Kit. there are a lot more sounds than what you hear in the song. if you don't have EXS you can always just take the audio and throw away the EXS instrument.

question: I was going to put some more stuff up, but are there no takers for EXS24 stuff here on KVR? or is this kit just not something that anyone craves? i get a lot of cool stuff from KVR and would love to pay back in some fashion.

Oh I'm into EXS24 since I'm using Kontakt who can load such sounds, so go right ahead and make me happy! :) Good song by the way. Will DL the kit once I'm at home within a few hours time.

us logic users definitely appreciate the free .exs instrument. so thank you!

Ditto- you may also want to upload it into the KVR Banks & Patches section.

I wasn't aware that I could load EXS into Kontakt. Good to know.

yeah i use exs but i'm assuming that if u recorded this on yr iphone then the quality isnt gonna be all that amazing (although i liked the sounds i heard...i just dont really want mp3 quality...or does the iphone record wav?)
Signature blocked until somebody convinces me they aren't utterly pointless

if you listen to the song there is a section about halfway through after the break where you can hear the sample by itself (without the added drum machine).

the iphone records in .aif (not mp3). to be honest, it is not the cleanest recording you'll ever hear, but I think it sounds pretty good when used. give it a shot, it's free so you can always toss it if you're not into it. :)

i actually want the Zoom. the iphone works in a pinch, but it doesn't have the mic quality.
