someone should get a job as a software testing engineer !!!!!( no , really !)

I'll repeat myself , at the risk of being rude ..... there must be 50 different compressors inside the cover ....

Your slogan should be ..

COMPASSION : ""With great power comes great responsibility "

"
Financial solvency and KVR Mix as well as oil and water.

Hehe, Dave... It seems you earned the "best customer service" award ;) There are only some developers playing at the same level (TBH Urs Heckman too).

DMGAudio - best quality and best costumer service :tu:

I think Andy from Cytomic and Gregg from OTS deserve a mention to then

Absolutely agree!

Thanks for the accolade! I'll keep hacking. I'm only a few cases away from sending 1.02 to test.
All being well, 1.02 will go to test tomorrow or tuesday.

Yes Andy too!! But to be honest, the list is very short.

Can anyone else repro this? I can't. :S

Dave.
I can. It is also a problem in EQuality. I've just upgraded from WinXP to 7. In WinXP I didn't have this problem. In Windows 7 I have. But nevertheless I am a satisfied customer.

I found this too - the answer is to turn up the Release Type, or with that at zero, turn the Curve Law above 50%.

Just a little impression: There is no reason to complain about too much parameters because the results you will get are absolutly stunning even with the easiest parameter tweaking :) I've never heard such a high quality dynamic tool before! I get the feeling that I could do almost anything with my music with full control over it and without unnecessary degradation of the signal :) Awesome!!!
And the pricing is fabulous for this amount of features and QUALITY!!!

This is strange, I'm on Win 7 (64 Bit)/Cubase 6.0.2 (32 Bit), and I've got full mousewheel support here. Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version of win7 and Cubase?

Anyone else? Need more information, there has to be a difference between our rigs.

Hey,

I can only load *.cmb files in COMPassion, no *.fxb, or *.fxp?

I can load *.fxp files through Reaper but when I close the advanced part of the plugin, the preset name sometimes changes at random. It sometimes even loads a complete different preset than selected.

Can anyone confirm?

Here are my first impressions after demoing this thing.

1) FINALLY a plugin that doesn't babysit me by limiting knob ranges to "safe" settings, allowing experimentation. I'm continually dumbstruck by how difficult it is to abuse software because developers don't trust the user at all.

2) Really awesome ways to compress, the most flexible compressor there is perhaps, even surpassing FLUX plugin combinations.

3) The graphical graph thing is way too fast moving to be of use. You have less than a second to have a glimpse of that transient that just went there, I ended up turning the thing off completely.

4) Some of the colours, mainly in the upper right area of the plugin are kinda fugly. Especially the turdy brownish red.

5) Knobs have great range but the (I guess logarithmic?) way they scale is not always nice. For instance in the extreme low range of the attack knob just the value of 0,00ms area takes about 20% of the range/space when in the higher end the slightest single-pixel nudge has a huge effect (which to a degree of course has to be the case). Just on a basic level I found it hard to use the knobs to dial in values I wanted.
( Many people have been comparing DMG Audio to FabFilter. If there's something to learn from the Fab guys its knob behaviour, somehow they just feel ultra smooth and it's easy to dial in the value you want. I think their knobs have a lot more resolution and a lot less mouse sensitivity. Using the compassion knobs often felt fidgety. )

Verdict: Very good, unique plugin the features of which can't be reproduced by any another single effect. Some user interface work on this and this will be one of the greatest compressors out there.

...turdy brownish red is the complimentary color to the wasabi puke green...

Dave, what about implementing different skin settings to your plugins like voxengo did? For example, i would like to see metallic skin.
