This has been decided against. We are not going to be offering offline activation for à la carte Custom Shop purchases. So it is not a priority, sorry. We understand that this may cause some people to decide against purchasing new AmpliTube models.
Thanks for finally giving a definitive answer.
Amplitube is a dead end for me then, as is IK in general.
Good luck with the icrowd !

Face it, we're bad people. I even have the nerve to disable my web connection when I'm done doing authorizations and Custom Shop business. I'm a sneaky f*ck who shouldn't be trusted.

BUT I HAVE IT ALL MODELZ CUZ OF TEH INTERWEBZ! :help:

haha!

I'm really wanting to try a couple of things but I WILL wait until this months allotment is reveled. Maybe I'll just make IK wait until the release the badcat series.....

Of course after those dimi clips I feel ashamed of my playing. This one in particular....

Trust me, I can't make mine sound like that

like I said before I kept mine offline for several years but when I had to connectto pc audiolabs one day I gave up on that. Then I updated to xp3 too (that was a few years ago) I dont stay online with it, I dont surf with and most of the tme I download with my laptop but if I have to go online I will. I do like having it my network though when I need it to be (like when I download something to my laptop and I want to move it to that machine after downloading). I've had no problems, but I do not have it hooked up to my network most of the time. Whether it be right or wrong I've heard and believe that disabling a network card increases the overall performance

This computer is my world. All of my software, internet, all on one glorious high-powered monster that has me saying "WHEN ARE THE NEXT CS MODELS COMING :x "

Post

I too have become the bedroom composer/guitarist extraordinaire  No more playing out for me; which is quite inexcusable and embarrassing I guess. I do it for pure joy and I follow all of this new technology like a kid in a candy store. I can hardly help my compulsions to try everything just to see where it takes me. If I keep this up I may have to get a new hobby that involves digging holes in the back yard to throw my money into. My financial investment towards musical endeavors that require long hours of hard work with marginal gains are starting to look ridiculous. At least my wife and 2 dogs are supportive

Btw, no one seems to have mentioned or caught the reference to the aforementioned "Hiwatt" coming next. Hmmmm....well, no one has really modeled that one correctly yet so, I'm anxious to hear the result.

A Hiwatt is not coming next. Neither is a Bad Cat. The new models will be from a couple of our initial Strategic Partners that we have already announced. We haven't released models from all of them yet... (Nor have we announced all of them yet.) ;)

The new models will be released some time this month, most likely in the second half.

OH! There is more written in this pic then it seems! Written with invisible digital ink. ;)

There is a 'B' and a 'o' and a 'g' and 'n' an 'e' and finally a 'r'. What a nice surprise!!! ;)

IK please covince Reinhold that he needs his name displayed in your custom shop! :D

so what does that make me?

I feel just like you, no more playing out...no bands, just self indulgence and there isn't a damn thing wrong with it...15 years ago I sat with catalogs spread on the table with pages dog eared of my dream studio and gear...which is probably less than 1% of what I have and can do now

I'm the same way! I have mics, amps and guitars and that sit gathering dust now that I don't play out like I used to.

I'm 100% behind you and loving every minute of it. It took me years to realize that bands and playing live mostly took all the joy out of music, not added to it. I still long for days when I could hang out and jam with real musicians, but these days I have so much fun with my little computer looping set up that those longings come less and less.

I wasn't able to do this last year, I lived on a busy street for almost 15 years, right on a major ambulance route and the road to 'get anywhere' from this area (actually if you follow the road north a little about 6 miles it's the busiest shopping district on the mass/nh border in nh which has no sales tax) so we got a lot of cars, trucks, harley's and I had no 'big' closet.

Moving here last July gave me a nice big closet in our room and the wife doesn't mind because I keep it neat. Of course it's much more quiet but that doesn't matter much with where the closet is in the house (I just can't crank it up when the wife is sleeping and that's why I want an iso cab), that's why I'm buying more amps...I can at last :)

There are 2 or 3 people left that I jam with and those occasions are becoming more and more rare. NOTHING beats a late night jam session when the groove is on and the mojo is flowin'. I miss it terribly actually :(

Alas, I am not 20 years old anymore and lack the necessary energy to work all day and play all night while sleep deprived. Life gets in the way

aint that the truth :hihi:
