Holy crap! I've never seen something so convoluted as downloading, registering and authorizing these pluggins.
Finally got my Sonik Synth set up, but can't find the sounds. There a re a few sounds that came with the free SampleTank (I think), but there must be another place where the sounds that come with Sonik Synth are.
Also, where is the info on the free group buy downloads?

I think I found out one of my answers.
First you download the pluggin, THEN you go back and find the sounds in another area of the site.
Still haven't found the free group buy stuff.

Does anyone know if one of the bonus libraries is a dedicated ethnic/world set?
If so, what is it (or what are they)?
Any information or links to them is appreciated (reviews, quality, instruments represented, country where instruments originated, genre, etc.).

NealF - the "Sounds Download" item in the User Area on the IK site is where you get your instrument library, and the esoundz web site is where you get the group buy bonuses.
Musical Gym - the World Instruments collection might be what you're looking for:
http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... de=HBGBKVR
World Grooves is a loops collection that might also be interesting:
http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... de=HBGBKVR
There are also three Latin-based percussion loops packages on the list.

Phwww, I think this thread needs a bump again (had to search at page 2 in market place, ts,ts,ts)
I will jump in for Miroslav for shure now. Just wondering who to give my epointz to... So I thought the first one, who refers me, will get mine in exchange. Anyone?
A question at Squids: You mentioned, the versions '2' of the free instruments will also be given to ones, who already own the vers. 1, am I right? So if I own Omnisynth 1, I can pick another goodie and get the omnisynth-update on top of it?
Any news about the miroslav outtakes?
Best, Gunnar

If you purchased any of the previous Expansion Tank libraries from esoundz (only) then this month you can have a free upgrade to the new version of that title. So yes if you bought OmniSynth from esoundz before you can have the latest updated OmniSynth 2 for free. These are some of the hidden benefits from buying from esoundz sometimes. Free or low cost sound updates etc.Krabat wrote:

Miroslav Outtakes are almost done. Small chance it won't be ready in time for 200 BUT people will still get to choose it if that happens. They'll get a redeem code just like the first 100 and will be able to choose any of the items on that freebie list only the Miroslav Outtakes will be added to that list as soon as it's ready. If someone wants it all they have to do is wait to redeem one of their codes until it is announced it's ready. Should be ready by next week though. That library will ONLY be available exclusively through this group buy as well (not something you can purchase separately later) so the only way to get it IS by joining this group buy http://www.esoundz.com/news1.php?nbr=5999

The IK Hot Buy Group Buy has nearly reached 200 which means you will be able to pick out TWO FREE SAMPLETANK LIBRARIES from the list and that's per VI you've purchased in the promo!!!!! So if you've purchased for example Sonik Synth 2 and Miroslav Philharmonik that means you will be able to pick out FOUR FREE SAMPLETANK LIBRARIES!!!!! It's an insane deal and it's only getting better exclusively on www.esoundz.com
Note: Next week we will be including a special "Miroslav Outtakes" library in the list of redeem products so if you would like to choose this library simply wait to redeem one of your codes until it is announced as ready. This library will only be available in this group buy and not available for purchase separately.

"Miroslav Outtakes" sounds tempting. I'm not sure if that by itself will be enough to make me bite (as I already own all five instruments), but it's certainly something to think about.
Some thoughts on a few of the libraries available as bonuses... At one or two bonus selections, there are already some interesting combinations that work well with each of the three "specialty" instruments.
Miroslav Philharmonik will likely be the most popular instrument choice. We don't know how large a set the upcoming Miroslav Outtakes will be yet, but it seems like a no-brainer as one bonus choice.
A second bonus to go with it would depend on personal tastes. Miroslav already has Steinway grand piano (and a cathedral organ), but the Piano Collection 2 would be a good choice for the film scoring or classical side of things. It adds more Steinway and Yamaha grand piano sounds, plus other acoustic and electric pianos.
For SampleTron, the no-brainer is Squids Tron Exclusive Extras. (If you're getting SampleTron, you obviously want the biggest collection of Mellotron tape frames you can get. Squids Tron completes the Sonic Reality library of Tron and related sounds.)
The Vintage Keys Collection would be a good choice for a second bonus selection to go with it. It's a 977 meg collection (27 parent instruments) featuring Rhodes, Yamaha and Wurlitzer electrics - including a massive Yamaha CP70 electric grand (my favorite), plus Hammond B3 organ and other various additional classic synth and other keyboard sounds.
SampleMoog hasn't gotten much attention in this thread yet. It has a 4.4 gig library of sounds taken from Moog synths ranging from the 1970 MiniMoog through the 2006 Little Phatty. Most of the parent samples are fairly small, so this is a Whole Lotta Moog.
An ideal bonus selection to pair with it would be the SampleOB Xpander collection. It's the same concept - a collection of sounds from the Oberheim synths to give you a great representation of "that OB sound". I count 34 parent instruments (plus child instruments - which use the parent samples but apply effects) that total a bit over 880 meg.
Both synth families have their own distinctive sounds. The two of them together make a great combination for a retro synth library.
I have mixed feelings about the SampleARP Solo collection as a second bonus choice. Part of it is that I'm just not as big on the ARP instruments as other bits of '70s gear.
My take is that for better or for worse, SampleARP Solo stays true to the ARP line. The intent was to give you the raw tools in a way that is faithful to the original instruments. It does that in a huge way - 49 parent instrument sounds that total over 1.1 gig.
But that's also the downside. ARPs typically sounded thin. You could do nearly anything with them, but it took a lot of work with effects to get them sounding special.
The same holds true of many sounds in SampleARP Solo. Most of these sounds are the raw tools straight from the instruments rather than the polished sounds from classics like "Frankenstein", "Song For America", "Won't Get Fooled Again", etc. You'll probably find a few sounds you really like straight off the top (be sure to browse the child patches as well as the parent samples), but you'll find that many of them need a barrage of effects to make sounds that you like.
So if you want a huge collection of authentic ARP sounds from real ARP instruments, want to use the tones to mold and shape your own sound, and have the patience to spend the time tweaking the effects, then SampleARP Solo is an ideal set for you.
Personally, I get far more mileage out of the electric pianos in the Vintage Keys Collection than I do out of SampleArp Solo.
But that's just me - listen to the demos and decide for yourself.
