todd sweetland wrote:yeah ive owned 3 larrivee acoustic guitars over the years , i still own 2 of them a 6 string orcestra model and 12 string dreadnought . they have amazing necks and workmanship , i had a 6 string dreadnought i sold , i didnt care for the tone of it , but it played amazing . they all came with hardshell cases too. im real excited
The two Larivee dreadnoughts (both D-03's, I believe) were excellent. They weren't on the level of my Taylor 810 but, for the prices we paid (I believe around $6-700 each), they were hard to beat.

btw, I'm pretty shocked that an RS-2 can be bought in the $800 range. It feels like a much, much more expensive guitar. Also, the RS-2 was the one I liked, it's lighter than the RS-4.

Funny, since it's hibidy, I assumed that was an Ibanez.

Hm, I see on his Facebook profile pict he's got the Baby Z. The one I ordered is the Z7s. I think the difference is full fretboard and string triggers as opposed to rubber triggers.

I have a baby and a z6.

The 7z' are long necks like the 6's. The logrithmic necks are even longer still. Aside from the body, 7's are much much lighter then 6's

It takes awhile to get used to the fretboard just be patient when it arrives.
Of the two I have I prefer the baby on most occasions. rubber strings and rubber key triggers are a joy. The neck on the baby is much thinner then My Z6 Your z-7 should be between the two in neck thickness. My Z6 has a wood neck. The z6 is not without it's benefits.

Tell me you got extras like a tca or a whammy bar. I've never gotten used to the touch strip on either.
TCA's can be programmed for practically anything like key switching cc's and note values and chord assignments and of course key triggers.
