Hink, this makes the Seymour Duncan pedals ideal for modeling with AmpliTube's DSM process.Hink wrote:I find it somewhat ironic that Seymour Duncan took the time to do it right and build pedals with tubes that actually behave the way they should instead of 'tubes for looks' like so many companies do and they get modeled
Amplitube next models? What will they be?

I didn't say it didn't...damn you guys ARE defensive and frankly it's getting to be oppressive...this is more than once...here's a hint, learn to take a joke and seperate the serious from the jokes...like I noted before the worst thing that can possibly can come from my jokes is it bumps the thread and BENEFITS you.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:Hink, this makes the Seymour Duncan pedals ideal for modeling with AmpliTube's DSM process.Hink wrote:I find it somewhat ironic that Seymour Duncan took the time to do it right and build pedals with tubes that actually behave the way they should instead of 'tubes for looks' like so many companies do and they get modeled
I bought AT3 just like everyone else, I am not being disrespectful in any way and I am going to comment on the pros and cons, and being me I'm going to make a sarcastic post or two. Tell me Brian, why didn't you quote the second paragraph? I will for you now so you can see that maybe you are taking yourself and new position far too seriously.
from where I stand two people from IK are jumping on a customer(s) at every 'close to negative' post they make, doesn't matter if the post is genuine, sarcsastic, the customer's opinion or even reflecting the opinions of others. I notice when I make suggestions they get ignored, when I make criticisms I get flak even when my criticisms are 'tea with the queen' compared to others and when I make jokes, go out of my way to make it clear it was a joke you still omit that part just to 'defend' what I have been saying all along...there's nothing to defend with me (but every time I mention that you ignore it too, in fact it seems you only respond if I say something you perceive as negative)...I haven't bad mouthed AT or IK at all...give it a rest because unless you can get me banned I'm going to make posts about the product I own good/bad/indifferent and jokes...every other professional can deal with it...you should tooI sincerely wrote:Before anyone jumps down my throat I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it and in fact I think it will probably result in more sales for Seymour Duncan. However it is kinda like getting the best seats in the house at a ballgame and bringing a tv to watch the game on

Hink, sorry if you interpreted my response as defensive or jumping on you.
I didn't see what you said as a negative comment, I was just bantering with you. I thought it was worth noting that you will be able to hear the "tubeiness" of the stomp pedal in our model.
And your suggestions are always noted and appreciated.

it's probably me that should apologize, it just feels as if people think I'm bashing AT and I'm not. I You should hear how good AT3 speaker sims sound with my Frenzel pre-amp, the only problem with that is I feel guilty...I got all this and I'm using one tiny piece. The mic controls allow me to duplicate my two mics when I'm using my cab to a 'T'. I no doubt can see myself trying out other cabs though what's in it now are great.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:Hink, sorry if you interpreted my response as defensive or jumping on you.

That's the beauty of my rig, I see it this way...I have 26 inputs on my card currently 18 are in my chain...so why record one or two guitar tracks? And it's all so simple...record em all (aby box and mic'd the cab for instance gives me 5 tracks) I can record with the tones I like best to play, record them several ways and a dry track so after I'm done having fun I can then take my performance and make it sound the best for the piece....the only problem is the 'fun' part and letting go

I'm not going to bother posting the dozen or so totally OT posts about Hink's gear and how he uses it.Hink wrote:

This is not a shot at IK, I still love AT

The problem is compounded because phase issues/comb filtering will increase as you go up in pitch and is not fixed like the buffer length will be.
Now I'm not saying that AT is alone, but of the sims I have it is the worst...I will eventually upgrade to 3.5 because I like AT3

in the other thread, here another rep from IK clearky states in the last line that IK sacrifices performance (which I consider quality YMMV) for quantity.

That's the direction the want to go in which is fine by me and seems to please a lot of customers...it's a business and businesses are about making money. It doesn't mean they lose me as a customer nor is it bashing IK because it's their business not mine.

you're right, quality was the wrong choise of words and I apologize I should have stuck to performance...there's still a scarifice though and just because it's endorsed by any company makes no nevermind to me...I'm quite clear on this and quite emphatic on this...I do not buy names...I dont buy signature models because of who played it, I dont buy amps by the name (nor do I sims) and to be brutaly honest I dont want the opinion on my playing from anyone who will base it on the gear I use.
I buy what works for me, less models and better performance works for me. So in my case authenticity of the tone does not mean better quality either, it's just marketing at that point. Please take note that never once have I said anything against how AT sounds in fact really what I am saying is as far as tone goes AT is already so good I do not need it to be improved.

So what? I still think AT3 is great, it didn't get worse and I liked it before
I guess I'm just hopelessly dreaming of the day where where latency is measured .001ms
(Note by me: again, Amplitube does not add latency to what your DAW/Audio interface is set to so why bring this up here? Not brought up in other amp software threads)

Of course, the post started with Hink agreeing that he should probably apologize. Why would he state that if he didn't realize what he's doing? I'm just seeing this over and over and over and over. Maybe Hink's your best buddy. That's fine, I just see this constant trend of ||:Dig dig or Backhanded Complement/explanation that he does, in fact, like it/Complaint about non-Amplitube related issue (latency) in an Amplitube related thread/Post about how his hardware amp set up:||
Again, all I did was post what he posted.

That post was clearly intended to stir up trouble with me and nothing else, my post had nothing to do with you at all. Your post had nothing to do with AT or the models yet to be released, hence a blatant vandetta. You are intentionally misrepresnting who I am, all though your posts show clearly that I make mistakes and own up to it...I'm sorry, I'm not as perfect as you...I consider every post you make to me as I told you in a pm to be trolling. Very clearly stated, this thread is not about me and whatever problem you have with me and I have every right to post in it. I am asking you politley and publically tro leave me alone.zerocrossing wrote:Point to the part of my post where I say something negative.Hink wrote:

So yes you are being a troll, your problem with is your problem, it's not my problem nor is it KvR's problem, deal with it because I'm not going anywhere.

Didn't say a single negative thing?zerocrossing wrote:All I did was cut and paste the digs from the last bunch of pages of this threads. If you took time to read my post, all I did was state that I see a definite trend. Trolling? Ripping? I didn't say a single negative thing, I just pointed to what was already there.
What about the fact that you're alluding to Hink's posts as 'digs'?
What about the fact that you felt the need to point out that someone should have apologized AFTER they had already done so?
What about the fact that you feel the need to refer to Hink's posts as 'OT'?
If you were the paragon of positivity that you seem to think you are you could easily offer much more constructive advice than anything I've seen you write.
I agree with Hink about the trolling too. You really are achieving nothing positive here at all.

I whole heartedly agree. Perhaps posts about hardware amps and DAW latency can be moved in their appropriate forum sections so that discussions can take place in a useful way.bluedad wrote:Unless y'all want this thread locked, I'd suggest staying on topic.
