They were at a price that was pretty much once in a blue moon. Yes, I'm totally nuts
I used the money I got for selling my strat and the street-buy cash from some other junk I pawned off.

I don't mean to spam, but I'm (regrettably) selling my Korg Karma and Korg ESX1 Electribe in the market place, if anyone is interested:

i promise i will buy punch and the elka synthex from xils labs once they come out. i cannot promise that i will upgrade to imposcar 2 because i'm not even sure that gforce as a company still exists (given the lack of news for almost four months now). further gear lust i have concerns the aquisition of a small hardware synth to accompany my sonic cell (rompler) and virus ti (va) and i'm thinking about a mopho keyboard (true analog) or a mono evolver keyboard (nice blend of digital and analog oscillators). any thoughts on the mopho and mono evolver?
cheers

Completely reorganising my studio has defined what my intentions are a bit better. I have one final slot on my BugModular to fill, which will be a second delay module, which Tom will hopefully have at the end of this month. And I reckon I want a second EHX Freeze pedal.
Im also wondering if I should flog the padKontrol, and get a nanoPad instead, because the pads are all I really use.
Ive passed on Komplete 7, so far, but should pick it up at some point. Maybe I'll wait till 8 has been announced, see if I can wangle a grace-period upgrade. But not much in the way of software. There's some interesting sample sets out there that I want, though.
The next stage for the BM after filling it is moving to a 3-row 'boot' rack, and a power supply upgrade. That's probably sometime destined for happening over the next 6-12 months. I definitely want another joystick and touch panel in it.
And the final intention is that the 3-row will get 'widened' when its full, via the mooted half-width expanders, maybe over the next year or two.
Meanwhile my I think my Euro needs rejigged a bit. Now that I have the BugModular too, Im probably going to stick with the 4 racks, and just rethink what's in it quite a bit. That's probably a process that'll be ongoing over the next couple of years too, though. Im hoping what I'll be taking it will cover the cost of what I'll be putting in, but at present its mostly stock Doepfer, so the balance tips the expensive way.
However, in the short term I'm going to have to make time and focus on building stuff, not buying it. I have a crapload of kits to build.
Oh, though I do want a Wavedrum Oriental, which means I'd have to flog the Wavedrum.
I also have far too much stuff I really need to sell.

It was almost done then, now its more so. Got my BugModular delay and the second Freeze pedal, and Komplete 7. Blew a couple of power supplies somehow which didnt help, but Ive replaced them now. Think the Vortex is f**ked, but I think I need to get a replacement PSU for that too, to be sure.trimph1 wrote:@Whyterabbyt: How did the reorganization of your studio go?
Left the modulars as they are so far.
Still got a few other minor bits and pieces to cable up, but everything's much handier than it was at the start of the year.
Not touched the kits yet, but I finally made myself up some new contact mics. And I bought a Rode NTG2, so I'll eventually swap my Zoom H2 for something with XLRs, probably a H4N or whatever replaces it.
Im also supposed to be getting a new laptop via work, the i7-based version of Dell's XPS z15, their take on the Macbook Air (bit more powerful though). Probably going to stick Reason6 on it when I get it. I think between that and my i5 general-purpose desktop in the other room Ive got enough spare 'remote' horsepower to keep running my old quadcore for at least another year, so no more major changes intended for a good while...
So, erm, yeah, all coming together fairly well...
