Making snares and claps in Alpha

Hmm, I've had a go at making percussion sounds in Alpha... Kicks and bassdrums it seems to handle beautifully, but I had a lot of trouble constructing anything resembling a snare or clap.

So I resorted to the presets, and noticed an excellent supply of... Kicks and bassdrums! But nary a snare, clap or snap in sight! I could just accept that Alpha does everything *except* snares, but I'm setting a challenge to myself to make an entire track using only one synth at a time, and I have a feeling that there are snare sounds in Alpha waiting to be coaxed out, they're probably just in the bottom corner of the box

Does anyone have any Alpha-specific pointers to set me on the right track?

Oooh thanks... I'll have a look at them... been reading other tutorials on snare drum syntheis as well, to brush up a bit...

Noise makes a simple but effective snare.
You can colour it with filter env
For claps though you need a graphical amp envelope.
The attack goes like this-

Hope you find a way though, this isn't neccessarily the only.

edit, just added another peak to the shape as per my synthy.
Also the wave I used for clap is noise
