I got this far with the graphics for my new stomp tonight.

Curiousity killed the cat they say.
I hope it's piqued.

Do you think I will get in trouble with Boss?

Anyway, check in here and I let you know what's up soon.

edits-
Finally I am pretty much making my own algo.
This is a 3-line pitch shifter.

Here is the latest version->

I am resampling a 1500 sample long grain.

Here is the finished skin->

So I hope this a nice device, let me know if it's a keeper 8D

I am lining up another 2 algos.

FYI- You can beat match loops with this if ur sampler has speed. U can compensate the pitch change, so leaving the loop in key.

I don't think Boss can have a patent on stomp boxes (as long as you don't put "ROSS" on it or something similar).
Nice look, especially the jacks.

I was tempted to put 'Bass' on it{hint :) }
Your chorus, the exact same thing really GUI wise.
I'll try it.
The jacks are Carson Cable->

Nice I can use Boss dimensions and font, they are neat.
Cheers Wok, I'll see what you've been up to.
I liked your nu monosynth GUI

it looks ok but it's very "washed-out" or hazy looking. make it sharper and more textured, it will look a lot better. for example,

see all the "grit work" and texturing on the knobs and paneling. and how everything is sharp and very present.

Here it is with more saturation.
Some of the flaws in editing come through.
Is it nicer with more contrast?
I like the dulled off for some reason.
edit-hmm, I try for bootsy-like realism.
Gotta fire these ones up.
I guess I use a camera, not a scanner.
Thanks for your aesthetic :)
ps-the left plug is smaller than the right, I'll change it

edit- I took this down... it was over-saturated

get rid of the jacks, they waste screen real estate and bring nothing to the fx sound, just my 0.02$

also, if there is no knobs on the stomp part, again, waste of screen real estate, a simple little bypass button would be cleaner than a whole "foot stomp" that, like the jacks, have 0 real use besides trying to look like a boss pedal

Im just giving critique as to what *i* think makes a great GUI. But, nice work!

agreed, the jacks are cheesy.

make the the whole GUI the front panel of the pedal, with no extra space around it.

ans that bring me to a question, when will dev finally understand that we use it with a mouse on a computer screen (or in a really rare case, touchscreen)

why try to emulate the look of something that was made to be stomped on/finger tweaked?
i really like all logic's effect for that, no silly "trying to look real" GUI (except the not so great pedalboard) just controls and meters, no "look im a vintage piece of gear", just the sound.

ableton live went even farther in this direction, ditching even "real" looking knobs, and nobody complained, cause it was useable, i honnestly don't give a shit how a plugin looks, i care about what it sounds like, it could be only a set of faders with a display and i'd be more than happy, no need to waste time on making a rusty worn rack look peice of gear, it won't change the sound of it

I'll go ahead and disagree with that. I prefer the GUI's that look like hardware. Call me simple-minded, but, I like to work with nice hardware style GUI's like the ones UAD, Waves, Softube, Bootsie, etc make. I think they are the best looking GUI's. I honestly think Ableton looks like a toy.

I'll do 2 GUIs
I like the jacks myself.
hmm
OK I bang out the effect.
Hopefully it gets better.
It is an octaver, sadly with a pronounced volume warble.
This warble, maybe I can lessen it.
I'm not sure I get it out tonight, it's 2:40 am.
Hmm
I'll just stick some knobs on it for now
We'll see, but it is upcoming.
I have 2 of these pitch shifters, the bass is kinda hollow a touch.
I'm hoping to craft a fuller one in the end.

and yet again, some of us do appreciate a nice looking gui. i don't ditch plugins that look ugly or have no gui, but then again i love it when a plugin both sounds good and looks nice.

back on topic, nice work nix808! are you by any chance the guy behind ts-808?

Hmm,
No I didn't do TS-808, I searched it and ended up with Ibanez Tube Screamer.
Pls. link me, if you like.
I have license to sample TS-404 synth by Richard Hoffman and Didier Dambrin though.
I try to get a release of this octaver out in the next 24 hours :)
edit,PS-
Thanks for the compliment, I try make some desirable items
