I'm tracking down a minor bug, and have a question about the previous/next errors: Do people usually use the mouse to access these, or some sort of keyboard commands?
A user reported that the enter/return key in Logic was being hijacked by the plugin window, and figured out that the buttons were the culprit in his case. So I'm setting the keyboard focus on each button to false. But if people are currently using keys for toggling back and forth between presets, now is the time to speak up.

Sean. Dunno if it's only me but I find the lock button to be inversed...
Lock should be red when it's locked and not when it's free (as in changed by the patches, not as in free beer), like every other parameter title is white... and free . Am I the only one wanting this???

Red means active, other colors mean inactive. The slider turns grey-ish to indicate it is "inactive," i.e. locked.jensa wrote:Sean. Dunno if it's only me but I find the lock button to be inversed...

I can see the validity of the other argument, as well, but it is six of one, half dozen of the other. And it is already implemented. So the one that is already in the plugin, wins.

So that's the reason I didn't get to beta test it before.valhallasound wrote:I can see the validity of the other argument, as well, but it is six of one, half dozen of the other. And it is already implemented. So the one that is already in the plugin, wins.![]()

From a user's perspective the others are always inactive (changed by the patch, not the user) and the lock ought to be red when active (not changed by the preset but by the user). Ah well. I did try at least.valhallasound wrote:Red means active, other colors mean inactive. The slider turns grey-ish to indicate it is "inactive," i.e. locked.

I thought the demo was broken for exactly the same reason. Red always means active/on.jensa wrote:From a user's perspective the others are always inactive (changed by the patch, not the user) and the lock ought to be red when active (not changed by the preset but by the user). Not any more. Get with the times. Red = Stop! Halt! Or you will be 100% reverberated!re_mute wrote:I thought the demo was broken for exactly the same reason. Since no one seems to use key commands for the prev/next buttons, I'm going to disable keyboard control over those. I have a few other minor bug fixes I'm going to put into the next build. Hopefully that will be the last build for awhile.mandolarian wrote:*crickets*

I really enjoy it day by day, sound by sound! The mix lock is very useful & intelligent feature! Thanks also for your fair price/policy, i have big respect for you, your work! All the best for you!

I agree. To me it seems that red should mean that the lock is active. Grey should be inactive.re_mute wrote:I thought the demo was broken for exactly the same reason. RE: red mix lock. I see the red as 'danger you're unlocked'. The mix level turns to a less alarming red while locked too. I really like that muted red now that I've seen it.....
Someday could I/we get midi learn on the prev/next + mix lock buttons? Logic won't learn them at least.
With 1.04/logic when you change reverb modes a blueish box shows up around them. Not the end of the world at all and my memory my be wrong, but I don't remember this happening before.
Interesting post about wabi sabi. Inspired largely by the same concept plus the lulz of Rotational Velocidensity I started work on a synth that wears depending on how you use it, learns the type of sounds you make and decays partially based on geo tracking. Making it a good enough tool that anyone will even stick with it long enough to discover this is the hard part(makes it difficult to test too
).
The unrelenting conformity of software makes me feel uncomfortable in a way I don't understand. Every person on the planet could run the same soft synth though the same plugin and get the same rendered file and for some reason that doesn't sit right with me.
I think it's very possible recordings using VR will be around in 3000 years somewhere. Although who will have the time to sort though the "infinite" amount (googolbytes?)of data?
The net's effect on recorded history is astounding. I don't envy the future generations that will have to wade though all the garabge to find the good stuff. I'm making the big assumption we don't blow ourselves back to the stone age though.

Red means that the slider is active, grey inactive. This is the convention I landed on, and I like it. I could iterate on these tiny details forever, but I need to move on to new work.SuperFly76 wrote: I agree. To me it seems that red should mean that the lock is active. Grey should be inactive.

I initially made the same mistake, but once I read the mix lock tooltip and realized how it works, it became a non-issue.valhallasound wrote:Red means that the slider is active, grey inactive. I wouldn't bother with the change at this point. You do a great job explaining the functionality on the GUI itself.
