Hi everyone,

I just finished my upcoming sound set called
"Atmospheric Transients" with 128 Presets for the Waldorf PPG Wave 3.V.

This sound set is mostly based on Pads and Polysynth sounds plus a few Leads, Keys and Arps and it will contain a big amount of samples and Single Cycle waveforms (around three quarters of the presets use a sample or single cycle waveform). Of course i also included a bunch of presets which are based on the internal wavetables, mostly on the new ones. The sound set includes analog style, digital style and hybrid sounds.

Most of the presets use a single sample which is standard in the PPG Wave 3.V. There are a few multisamples based on multi setups. In the PPG Wave 3.V a multisample could only be used by using a multi setup with 8 identical presets where only the sample and the keyzones differ. Such a setup could be saved as a fxb bank file.

Steve Porter from Synth Magic created two Audio demos for the "Atmospheric Transients" sound set. Here are the links for those nice demos:

Equipment list
All presets for the included samples were done by myself with several synths and other sound sources like:

Access Virus TI desktop (Mk1, OS 4.1.1, Virus Control VST plugin), Soniccouture Novachord, Synth Magic „Sounds Of The Quadra"(ARP Quadra emulation), Native Instruments Kontakt 4 (for Novachord + ARP Quadra), Way Out Ware TimewARP 2600, Cableguys Curve (for full presets and Single cycle waveforms), Waldorf Lector vocoder (currently in Beta), Korg Polysix (Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007), CFA Sound MonoGrizzly 1.5, Korg MS-20(Legacy Collection Analog Edition 2007), Korg Wavestation (Legacy Collection Digital Edition), Korg Wavestation EX, FXpansion Strobe, Native Instruments FM8, Camel Audio Alchemy, Zephod BLOK Modular, Synapse Audio Dune, FXpansion Amber, DNR Collaborative Anatomy 01 Waveform Collection, Quantix 8 Waveform editor.

For external processing Schwa Oligarc Drive and Waldorf D-Pole were used in some cases.

I don't own the PPG Wave 3 (or any other Waldorf synth) but I'd be very interested to hear some audio demo's

I'm sure the quality will be of high standards knowing (from audio demo's) your other banks for Waldorf and how much work you have put into these.

i have to do short demos for all 128 presets like in the Blofeld soundset.
Anyway it would be really nice to get some professional full time Audio demos.

The soundset is finally finished and i just sent it to Waldorf.

Here are the persons who received a copy now:

- Wolfram Franke (Waldorf Music)
- Stefan Stenzel (Waldorf Music)
- Wolfgang Palm (inventor of the PPG and the wavetable synthesis)
- Rob Lee
- Nielzie (Niels) here at KVR

The first two must get this because without them there will be no sale and of course also not that wonderful synth we're talking about...

Without Wolfgang Palm there would not be any PPG synth and wavetable synthesis at all and he also made ALL of the wavetables in the PPG Wave 3.V and also several factory presets.

I thank Niels (Nielzie) again for getting me to use Cableguys Curve. He is also doing really nice presets for Curve. Niels installed the evaluation version of PPG Wave 3.v and will hopefully do a demo song for the soundbank.

About Rob i don't have to say much, he's just a really cool and talented guy.
I hope he'll do a demo too. Especially the Virus TI based presets should fit his style.

Now i will continue doing the manuals and the demos for the soundset...

BTW do you also own PPG Wave 3.V besides Largo?

Nielzie (Niels) wanted to a demo song too but had problems with his PC so he was not able to start the song so far.

Your presets for Cableguys Curve are really cool too.

Yup, and it looks like this will take some time too (delivery just has been postponed)

So please, don't depend on my situation and if you can find someone else to do a demo then please go ahead, no hard feelings from me

The short time that I had to try the new bank I was very impressed though. Wonderfull well crafted sounds!

like already mentioned i have to do 128 small demos for all presets. Will take some time too...
If your demo comes much too late we could still publish it here at KVR and maybe add it to the Waldorf Online Shop later.

BTW Wolfgang Palm got that third demo and also the samples and the PPG preset from me many weeks ago and he was almost shocked how much different/better that sample sounds inside the PPG Wave 3.V. The original sample is mono and uses no effects. That preset is a layer (Osc's 1 + 2 used) and uses a big amount of the excellent Chorus effect and also the Reverb effect of the PPG Wave 3.V. The little "crackling" at the beginning of the song is from the Alialising simulation of the "True PPG" mode (Wave 2.3 mode).

No mate i just listened to the links.. I don't have PPG3 installed. All i have is 2 synths on my HD now until Komplete 7 and Kore 2 arrive.
Nice sounds though Ingo, hope it sells well.
