Sounds good until you hear your twin compared to a real one and realize that there is no coloration between them.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:Thank you, cliftone.
The reason why IK software is such a high quality is because we do true physical modeling at the component level of all the gear we model, and then we test exhaustively and fine tune our algorithms until our models and the real gear is indistinguishable in blind listening tests, using techniques that we have been pioneering for nearly 15 years now.
You are going to get to hear the latest example of this soon.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Which Twin?
The Fender Twin has changed a lot over the years.
The officially certified Fender model is of their '65 Twin Reverb reissue, which is a current production unit. Our '65 Twin Reverb model sounds like the unit hand selected and supplied to us by Fender, and Fender agrees. It was an exhaustive process going back and forth between our software engineering and Fender's tone gurus, until they were completely satisfied that our model was accurate and authentic, and they signed off on official Fender certification. This is the only desktop software model of a Fender Twin that is endorsed by Fender and meets their approval. We also have the only Fender approved models on mobile devices.

The Hendrix amps (which are now standard in AmpliTube 3) are based on the following:electro wrote:There is the Twin in Fender and there is also the Twin in Hendrix. Which AMP was each modelled on?
American Vintage B
Based on Fender® Bassman®
American Vintage D
Based on Fender® Dual-Showman®
American Vintage T
Based on Fender® Twin Reverb®
British Lead S100
Based on Marshall® 1959 JTM100™ Super Lead
But you will notice that these models are based on the gear. They capture the tone and the spirit of the amps on which they're based, but unlike our officially certified models, they are not an exact 1:1 recreation. Instead, these are "flexi" models, featuring interchangeable sections you can mix and match to combine tonal elements of different amps into a hybrid.
In order for these components to be interchangeable, they need to share common knobs and parameters. Because of this, these models are more generalized. All of the above models are modeled on true vintage '60s era amps, and you will get more of a vintage Twin tone from this model, which tends to be dirtier and more aggressive.
