Echo Voodoo - Surrender
Good percussion. The e-piano (?) reminds me of "Run Like Hell" from The Wall. A lot of cool little touches in this. Nice work.
Farlukar - Vabidate
[Showing results for: validate.] Early favorite as yet untoppled from top spot. Very cool.
offthewall - The Start Of The End
Solid folk. Some awkward lyrical phrasing, but nothing ruinous. Overall a good sound. And if it is indeed the start of the end...well, we had our shot.
beanpole - Fashionista
The acoustic (?) could have a bit more body before the other parts come in and the initial synth sounds too loud but as each additional part comes in the others sound more right. Simple and effective.
hivkorn - my addiction
I like the wobbly sounds. Ominous growling. Vocals maybe a bit too quiet. Powerful low end (not too much so, though).
oddbod - who said i'm dead
Impeccable craft but a curious lack of life for me. As I generally do with your songs I really like the drums. The near-the-end solo is quite nice.
mvrasseli - I'm so tired today
A good piece. I'm tempted to say "sketch" but if you said what you wanted to say in 1:01, who am I to say it's not enough?
liqih - Dawning
I like this. I like the individual sounds and I like the way they're put together. I don't get a dawn feeling from it, but it is nevertheless near the top of the shortlist.
Laguna Rising - Meta-Muzak
Kind of a staggering gallop, some leaps, cool organpianomachine--now what? strange drift, she won't hold, Captain--gurgles, broken cuckoo clocks, a tiny bull in a tiny china shop--and it ends with an awards ceremony heard on a transistor radio. Baffling and very enjoyable. Well done.
Patrick9 - Moonshine
Very pretty. Feels meandery (not necessarily a bad thing; not necessarily a word either). Mix doesn't squashed (hurrah!). Good piece.
mary mary (Mary Dylan) - Long Summer Shadows
I like the opening of this quite a bit. It loses me as it gets more fusiony, but that's down to taste. Sounds great even when it becomes not my thing. Well done.
Sepheritoh - Those taken by the moon
Another one that evenentually loses me. I like the beginning very much. Somewhat sad but stately, a very cool mix of sounds. Then the flute, and it takes a bit of a new age turn, and I've already jumped ship by the time I hear it take another turn...
Timothee - Mayflowers
Not really my thing, but fairly well done as far as I can tell. Drums sound a bit flat, maybe.
Deaf Steever & Lazy Echo - Going Down Slow
Blues is always hit or miss for me. This is some of each. Good guitar sound, vocal works, but for my taste it kind of drags. Wouldn't make much sense to have a peppy "Going Down Slow" though, so you know, the hell with me.
Jerru - Jerry Wright - Call To Glory
Soundtrackish and pretty. Good mix. The vocal synth sounds are a step too far for me. All in all, understated and nicely done.
iiiDaNiii - In This Way
Might be lacking a bit in the low end and have a bit too much in the high (though my hearing's not that good, so take that with a largish grain of salt [this applies to all my reviews]). Seems to all work well together.

Very pretty. Strings are slightly stilted, maybe.
Peppy197 - Eberswalde
Peculiar. I like some of the guitar; some of it less so. I'm not sure what I think of this, which I kind of like.

Clever. That highpitched synth, though, is hell on my ear. Otherwise, good mix.

I like: the overall feel and sound, the vocals (especially the aaahs), the acoustic sound. I'm less keen on: the bass sound, the vocal level (could come up some, I think). I'm neutral about but just now niggled by: figuring out which Jay Farrar song the opening reminds me of.

Odd ducking (or tremolo?) on the rhythm guitars--something sounds a little odd to me. Nice vocal. Nice lead work.
