MkII is 2003 vintage IIRC. It's quite a different beast to Tau MkI though, each one has its own very different sonic character. I would say Tau MkI is much closer design-wise to Tau Pro but even then they sound really quite different.10 years on, and I still use Tau MkII when I want to produce house music. Ofcourse I'm in for the new update

Cool, looking forward to the download.
Shall also take a moment to mention an article about Muon Software that appears in Wusik Magazine this month. Muon were the first company to release a third party synth plug-in right back at the dawn of VSTi time about, oh, 12 years ago. Things have moved along since but Muon synths still rock

Yes indeed it is, I lost Tau 1 many years ago, but it had some problems with the accent when mimicking the TB303. Still it is one killer plugin though. Really looking forward to the new version.Muon Software Ltd wrote:MkII is 2003 vintage IIRC. It's quite a different beast to Tau MkI though, each one has its own very different sonic character. Oh and by the way. Didn't Muon release TauPro? Is that still available?

Edited to add the quote.Muon Software Ltd wrote:makes me sound like a dinosaur...
Oppps, sorry, not my intention... was thinking more like "Experienced and Knowledgeable"
By the way Tau Bassline MkII is superb, lovin' it and well worth the very reasonable price. The "Accent" feature (filter?) is what makes it so much fun

I'm pleased to announce that we've resolved the issues with updating the website and have been able to launch the download area ahead of schedule.
Here's what you have to do if you haven't done so already:-
1. Sign into Facebook and "like" our page
http://www.facebook.com/muonsoftware
2. Click the icon in the left sidebar labelled "Exclusive Content"
3. Download your free plugin
You will not see the download link unless you are signed into Facebook and have "liked" the page.
If this goes well I've got a load more freebies to give out

I've quickly recorded a small audio demo for those of you who don't know what this little plugin sounds like (Just Tau + a simple delay).

After a few hours with Reaktor and Zebra such a simple "toy" can be really refreshing
Cheers

Nice!
I think I will make a free Tau MkII and Tau Pro up for grabs for the best user-submitted song made with Tau 10th Anniversary. Post your songs here or on the Facebook page.
