Hi,

just added some photos etc. at my blog of my second build, which is very nearly finished.

You can read it here. I am also including tips regarding problems I had and to help you plan if you are going to build one.
I am also working on a tenor ukulele which will be finished next week, looking good too:)

Thanks, go for it. The first one was a prototype, this one is ok, the ukulele is looking quite professional, I've learnt loads in a short time.

This is really cool.

Are there any MP3s on your site (I couldn't find them) - I'd love to hear what these instruments sound like, especially the cajon snare.

Thanks for the follow-up.

Sounds darn good. The cajon is very nice.

The CBG has a nice sound too. I actually have a CBG as well (I bought it on ebay, didn't make it) - mine is 3 string, and I play with a glass slide. I'd say yours has much more of a metallic twang to it, plus I like the sound of buzzy sound in your 2nd and 3rd recording.

Very impressive woodworking as well!

thanks, the twanginess comes from not having a pickup yet I think. I was getting some vibration from the lose wire inside, but I liked it.
The woodworking is ok, but needs to and is getting better, I've had to buy quite a lot of tools. I know a bad workman blames his tools, but there are some things you just cannot do without certain tools; drilling really straight and exact for example; that's why I bought a second hand drill stand - a nice old german one:)

I'm going to start selling them too, other wise I'm going to have tons hanging around, I glued up the neck for the 4th build already last night, will be a kind of resonator, probably 4 string, we'll see:)
